Spin Your Food to Maximize Flavor

Whenever I take time to marinate meat or vegetables I am surprised at the flavor that pops in my mouth. Chicken with Italian herbs works well, especially in summer. BBQ on anything gets better with more marinating time. And a balsamic & garlic combo yields nice flavors for grill veggies. There are plenty of recipes out there to help improve the flavor of meats and produce. Yet why is it that we often don't think about it until an hour before dinner? If you are the chef in the house I am willing to bet you have arrived home some nights, wanting to cook but not having proper time to marinate.  And unfortunately a chef's ideas are only as good as their execution.

For those that don't think ahead or those that do, check out the Marinade Express, $299.99 on Amazon.com. The concept revolves around (no pun intended) the fact that meats and veggies intake more flavors when tumbled. Their cell structure opens up and infusions of herbs and spices creep in after being battered around. Simply put your food and spices or herbs into the vacuum sealed container and tumble away. Former day or overnight processes will now take portions of an hour. Plus, anything potentially bad (bacteria, contaminants) literally spin out but food won’t dry out. You will get tender, well flavored food when cooked. The Marinade Express comes with a starter pack of marinade mixtures to give inspiration too. So if you are ready to turn ordinary meats or veg into extraordinary flavors (Marinade) Express them.

Toilet Tablet Tool

One of our most popular posts in January was the iPotty, the children's potty training toilet with built in iPad stand. Who would have suspected there were so many potty training apps out there!? CTA Digital carries the iPotty which received loads of press during CES. CTA also distribute a more adult version of a toilet tablet device. And I am willing to bet many of you will say 'I need that.'

Take your iPad in the john or anywhere you may sit. Welcome to the iPad Pedestal Stand complete with a toilet paper roll holder. Face it, we take our tablets anywhere we have spare moments. Bathrooms are certainly not exempt. But rather than holding your iPad in your hands, go hands free! Set it up and sit back and…errr…relax. And of course you can store your TP too. Bend the stand any direction necessary – whether in the loo or not. The 10" gooseneck also allows you to adjust the viewing angle and orientation. And the chrome finish means it will fit any environment. iPad 2 and iPad (3rd & 4th gen) fit in the holder. The TP contraption is optional by the way. So the stand works wherever you need it. You, and your bathroom, can get hooked up with this holder on Amazon for $44.99.

CM Storm RX gaming surfaces help up your game

Gamers, especially those hardcore ones, do take their gaming sessions seriously, and winning or losing is sometimes equated to a matter of life or death. Of course, the normal, Temple Run-playing world would not think that way, but if you have spoken to professional gamers or those who aspire to be one and are proud to be associated with a gaming "clan", then you can see where their passion lie when you start to talk about the kind of hardware used, in addition to the best peripherals that suit their gaming style. When it comes to gaming mice, those are dime a dozen, but a mousing surface? That is a little bit trickier, and if you are curious to give a less established name a go, then the CM Storm RX gaming surfaces from Cooler Master would definitely be worth checking out.

First of all, there is the Control-RX that was specially designed for low DPI gamers, sporting a smooth Lycra surface as well as effortless glide touch to deliver maximum area for precise movement, not to mention the most accurate sensor readings so that you will be able to avoid certain issues such as in-game jittering. There is an anti-slip polyurethane base to ensure that the pad remains in place during intense firefights, while an extra thick, water resistant design helps make longer gaming sessions a whole lot more comfortable.

As for the Power-RX, this particular gaming surface relies on Cooler Master's very own Surgical Strike Surface construction, which is a finely textured area that will enable one to execute precise and intricate movements without missing a beat. You should be able to call upon your reserves of strength as you persevere through each battle thanks to this specifically formulated material which also doubles up as a water resistant guard against splashes, spills, and sweat.

Of course, there is also the Speed-RX fo you to consider, where it was specially designed for high-grade optical gaming sensors, although those who use laser sensors will not feel out of place as well. Equipped with a microscopic synthetic mesh for optimum precision and reduced drag, there is an accompanying aggressive non-slip rubber base, coupled with a 5mm thick cushion. Thanks to a triple layer heat bonding process, you end up with a durable gaming pad that delivers when it matters the most. The Control-RX and Power-RX will retail for $34.99, while the Speed-RX is going for a more affordable $24.99.

Aqua Zinger

We are supposed to drink in enough water each day if we were to be well hydrated and to keep our cells looking nice and young, but sometimes, we tend to drink other kinds of unwanted fluid such as sodas and coffee more than water, which is not a good thing. Well, why not bring some balance to your diet by incorporating some fruity goodness inside there? This is where the £24.99 Aqua Zinger comes in handy, thanks to its integrated blender mechanism and clever construction, allowing you to avoid unwanted additives and sugars while ensuring that everything that goes down your throat remains all natural.

The Aqua Zinger is so easy to use, that all you need to do is to fill up the bass cup with your favorite fruity combinations (it also depends on how much cut up fruit that you want to squeeze in, of course), replace the filter afterwards and screw it on tight in order to get the juices flowing. Once that is done, just load up the bottle with an adequate amount of water, give it a vigorous shake, and you can begin to enjoy fantastic, natural flavors throughout the day – or at least, as long as there is enough fruity goodness left within. The double-wall stainless steel helps keep drinks hot or cold, and with screw-tight vacuum-seals, oxidization will not kick in that fast.

Sonos Playbar introduced

Have you heard of Sonos before? Surely you have, as they are the leading manufacturer of wireless audio systems, and have decided to take the plunge where wireless audio is concerned with the introduction of the beautiful, eye-catching Sonos Playbar. The Sonos Playbar can be said to be the soundbar for music lovers, delivering immersive HiFi sound to the TV. Not only that, since it is a full Wireless HiFi system, it is capable of streaming all the music on earth via a solitary easy-to-use player. In a nutshell, HiFi, meet HiDef. HiDef, stick your hand out for HiFi.

John MacFarlane, CEO, Sonos, Inc., said, "Sonos has transformed the way people listen to music throughout the home and now we're bringing our wireless HiFi approach to home theater. PLAYBAR will change everything about the sound experience in your living room, bringing together amazing HiFi sound for your TV and wireless access to the world's music in a radically simple way."

The sophisticated all-in-one design of the Sonos Playbar will merge exposed aluminum with high performance speaker fabric, delivering a look that is not only timeless, but also understated. After all, since it will not need a subwoofer or speaker wire, it is capable of fitting easily into any room and setup. Thanks to the integrated sensors, it will be able to assist the Sonos Playbar to automatically adjust EQ and channel orientation, allowing it to lie flat on the TV stand or rotate for low profile wall-mounting above or below the TV.

When you open up the Playbar, those who are from an engineering background will find nine individually amplified speakers, where half a dozen mid-woofers help deliver deep, rich low-frequency sounds, with three tweeters pumping out crystal clear high-frequency detail. It does not matter whether you are watching a movie, playing a game or streaming a song from Pandora or Spotify, the Sonos Playbar is equal to the task with clearer and louder audio. Of course, for such premium performance, you will have to pay through your nose, and we are looking at a $699 price tag for the Sonos Playbar.

They say that all good things are meant to be shared, so could this be the reason that the $139.99 Zumreed X2 Hybrid Headphones should be shared (its purchase price) with your sibling, so that the two of you are able to enjoy your favorite music pieces together? Just what are the Zumreed X2 Hybrid Headphones, and what do they do, exactly? For starters, the Zumreed X2 Hybrid Headphones will come with a unique switch that when turned on, will be able to send soundwaves all around you as the headphones now function as a pair of speakers, doing its bit to share your favorite tracks with everyone else in the room. Now, the issue arises as to whether they like your choice of music or not, but that is a different story for another day.

This pair of hybrid headphones will come with loudspeakers that have been mounted on the outside for instant sharing, and it is self-powered thanks to a built-in rechargeable battery so that you need not rely on your music-playback device's battery source. Not only that, it can be juiced up by plugging it into a USB port, and will also play nice with any audio-source that sports a headphone jack. You know what the next generation model of the Zumreed X2 Hybrid Headphones should come with? Yes sir, I'm looking at a wireless capable model in the pipeline.
