Deer Whistle keeps deer from denting your bumper

There were several years that I would swear that my car was emitting some sort of deer mating call that brought every deer in the county to stand directly in front of my car. I’ve had to swerve through a full herd of deer more than once. If I had one of these Deer Whistles attached to my car I might have stood a chance against the numerous deer that have crossed my path, particularly since this is supposed to ward them off.

As long as you’re going faster than 35 MPH it’ll create a sound that cause deer, elk, moose and antelope to freeze in their tracks. We’ll just hope that they aren’t already standing in the road when they hear it. The small whistle just attaches to your grill or under your bumper. I have no idea how well it’ll work, but it’s cheap enough to give it a try. Plus, if you live in a rural area it’s doubtful that it’ll make matters any worse. Pocket Digital Photo Frame with Mirror

No item is complete without a hidden digital photo frame. Thankfully Chinavasion knows about this rule and has a compact available with a photo frame hidden within. Now you can check out your makeup all the while glancing down at the pictures to remind you of how you should look. You could even add pictures to the photo frame that give you an extra boost of self esteem while you’re primping yourself.

It’s a little strange to keep the frame inside of a compact, but it’ll keep the digital frame safe from any crumbs or dust in the bottom of your purse. Tapi Tap Squeeze Drink Fountain

I have often voiced my love for simple gadgets. It’s far more popular to have a gadget that just does it all, but every now and then it just gets tiring. Sometimes you just want to use a simple device that always simply follows through on its chosen task. There’s no 20 page booklet or numerous online tutorials to tell you how to run it, it just works. Tapi is another one of those simple devices.

This doesn’t filter your water or turn pretty colors depending on the temperature of the water. No, it just allows for you to drink water comfortably out of the faucet. Just about everyone has had that desperate moment where they resort to drinking out of the faucet rather than cleaning a glass. Well instead of trying to fit your head under the faucet you just slip this rubber tap onto the faucet. To get the fountain to work just squeeze the bottom and the water will shoot out of the top. The Dreamfarm product is supposed to be shipping out in August of this year. These don’t appear to be available online, but you can punch your town into the store locator to find where these are sold.

Nikon D3100 targets the entry-level DSLR market

Nikon knows that the DSLR market has been growing from strength to strength as the prices of such devices drop due to advancements in technology, while the rest of the world is better able to afford said shooters which were once the domain of professionals and rich. Enter the Nikon D3100, the latest entry level Nikon DX-format digital SLR camera that comes equipped with a new CMOS image sensor developed by Nikon as well as a new image-processing engine which is more than able to capture high-definition images that exhibit superior image quality, alongside a Guide mode that enables users to capture images just the way they intend to. Not only that, the D3100 will be released wih the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens kit. More details on the D3100 will be shared in the extended post.

One of the more common complaints about people who moved from a compact digital camera to a DSLR would be controls which are a whole lot more difficult to master. Nikon hopes to turn the tables around with the D3100, of course, by equipping it with a Guide mode that displays instructions for the most basic camera operations for shooting, image playback and editing and the application of camera settings, all smack within the camera monitor itself. This is not the first camera to feature such guidance as its predecessor, the Nikon D3000 that rolled out in August last year, have proved to be extremely popular among its users, hence making another appearance this time round.

Apart from that, a new DX-format CMOS image sensor was developed by Nikon to complement its new image-processing engine known as EXPEED 2. Both will work in tandem to enable the capture of images which exhibit excellent image quality and definition. The D3100 will also come with a live view function that allows one to frame images in the monitor, whereas the D-Movie function will deliver support for high-definition movie recording. Despite offering an authentic DSLR camera performance, it will also help you move around in a more mobile manner thanks to its extremely lightweight (relatively speaking, of course) body. This 14.2 megapixel shooter will feature an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card slot and retail for $699 as it hits the market this September.
