Remember.com Helps Us Memorialize Those We Loved Posted: 23 May 2012 12:28 PM PDT
Memorial Day is almost here, a time for boats, beaches or barbecues, but I don’t think we should forget that here in the USA, Memorial Day is mostly about remembering the sacrifices that our brave men and women made in the service of our country. We should take a few moments out of our busy weekend to remember them, honor them, and say thank-you. Our friends over at remembered.com are allowing folks to get a little more formal this weekend, by allowing us to create an entire memorial page dedicated to a beloved Veteran, or anyone else you would like to remember…a page that can easily be shared with family and friends all over the world and all for free. Start by creating a short biography and then adding some photos, you can quickly create the foundation of the memorial. Once created, Remembered.com’s unique social networking engine will allow you to invite friends, co-workers, and family from around the globe. Those invited can then add their own photos, comments, and stories to complete an online legacy to your loved one. So instead of just hanging out in the sun, take the time to remember someone that made a difference in the lives of just one, or in the lives of many… and share it with the world. Simply go to remembered.com to create your free memorial website that you can view and share for 30 days, if you would like to keep it forever, its just under 10 bucks and if you would like to hold an invitation only online memorial, or host unlimited photos on your page, plan to spend around 20 dollars… NOW go hit the beach! Custom Ice Cream – How ‘Cool’ is That? Posted: 23 May 2012 09:06 AM PDT
I’m sure we are all aware that Fathers Day is looming on the horizon, I’ve started my search for the perfect gift and I may have come up with something a bit better than the requisite tie or cologne that Dad usually gets, its different thats for sure… How about this year, we design, personalize, and send Dad his very own ice cream, Sorbetto or Gelato? eCreamery is offering just such an opportunity and with 50 deliciously different flavors and around 40 different mix-ins I think it sounds like a perfect solution to the age old problem of just what to get Dad. No matter what you make, your frozen creation starts from fresh milk, cream and sugar and other fine ingredients. You simply pick your base, select up to 2 flavors and 2 mix-ins and follow the very user friendly web directions in order to pick your packaging and finally name your original gourmet creation. eCreamery lets you create your own sampler packs, give personalized ice cream gifts for birthdays, congrats or even the perfect I’m sorry, So choose ready-made ice cream, make your own custom flavors or go all out with an ice cream of the month club… just make sure your sister gives Dad her stupid tie first, and then you’ll really look like a hero! Custom ice cream starts at around 50 bucks a half gallon, shipped as 4 pint sized containers on dry ice from eCreamery.com. No, its certainly not cheap, but this is dad were talking about….

Griffin Technology announces the Crayola Case Creator Posted: 23 May 2012 06:30 AM PDT
We all want to be our own individual these days, and to move along with the herd is something that many people shun, especially those in the creative field who have their very own “signature” on their creations. Crayola, a company who has churned out products that have inspired creative expression in children for over a century, have just announced the availability of the Crayola Case Creator. The Crayola Case Creator is a protective case and app combo which will basically enable users to come up with their one-of-a-kind case for the iPhone and iPod touch. The Crayola Case Creator will come with a clear protective hard shell case which will protect users' iOS devices without sacrificing on the show-off side – where their artwork can be paraded for the masses to admire (or cringe, depending on just how one interprets your artwork). You can also shoot a photo or grab one from your photo album, transforming it into a customized case as and when you like. The free Case Creator app will provide the keys to let your imagination fly, where even kids are savvy enough to use the app by adding, resizing and manipulating digital stickers to photos, or perhaps even draw in Doodle mode. The range of artwork that are churned out from the Crayola Case Creator app can be printed on included perforated inserts, ensuring that they remain sized and shaped to fit the clear case. Each creation is also unique enough to deserve a place in your pantheon of artwork, where you can add it to a gallery, e-mail it or share it on Facebook. Optrix Wide-Angle makes debut on Kickstarter Posted: 23 May 2012 06:00 AM PDT
Just what does the Optrix Wide-Angle case offer? For starters, it will definitely enable those who are of the extreme sports persuasion to be able to safely and easily shoot, edit and upload 1080P videos right from their mobile device without a hitch. The Optrix Wide-Angle will enable users to capture images and videos thanks to a 175 degree wide-angle lens, which ends up with you recording a panoramic, wider viewing area for posterity. Not only that, it is one tough cookie, as it can be bumped around, have water spilled or splashed on it, as well as surviving normal drops (of course, throwing it off from the top of the Eiffel Tower is not going to work any miracles here) , making it the perfect companion device whenever you go mountain biking, skateboarding, or skiing, amongst other physically intensive adventures. John Willenborg, founder of Optrix, said, "The Wide-Angle case is the second version of our popular HD Sport, allowing extreme sport enthusiasts to capture wider pictures and videos without worrying about the safety of their device. We are reaching out to the Kickstarter community by giving them the opportunity to experience the Optrix Wide-Angle before it is available anywhere else." Iron Man Power Bands with Lights & Sound Posted: 23 May 2012 05:30 AM PDT
This is basically the kid’s version of the Power Bands worn by Tony Stark in the movie, The Avengers, where it can respond to motion – one with lights, while the other with lights as well as sound. When you bring the two of them close enough, then you will be treated to a special lights and sound sequence, now how about that? Powered by a trio of LR44 right out of the box, it ought to fit most children aged 5 to 10 years old, as the band can stretch to fit about a 5″ wrist, although at the rate of which obesity strikes society these days, who are we to say that things might end up very different? The Aqua Force Crossbow comes with a 'pull-and-release' action that ought to let you launch long-range liquid missiles without batting an eyelid – up to 80 feet in length, yo! Not only that, you can be sure that you are burning some calories along the way as well, since the tension in the launch mechanism functions as some form of upper body workout.
