Sony USB Portable Power Supply

Posted: 20 Jun 2010 03:34 PM PDT

Sony has decided to make it possible to enjoy your portable gadgets even longer than normal while you’re away from home.  The small power supply gives your USB chargeable devices a little bit of a boost.  Just pick up this USB Portable Power Supply and you won’t have to run home nearly as often to charge up those devices.

It can work with the usual items like mobile phones, MP3 players, portable game consoles and they specifically list off that it’ll work with Walkmans and iPods.  In order to work this you’ll need the USB cable you’d normally use to charge your gadget.  There isn’t much word on how much this will cost you though.  This was supposed to have launched a week ago, but thus far there haven’t been any signs that it’s reached an area where you can purchase it.  Hopefully it’ll make an appearance sometimes soon.

Ceiling Rose Clock

Posted: 20 Jun 2010 02:59 PM PDT

A ceiling rose is one of those things I never really thought I’d see in my own house.  I just always doubted that I’d own anything that would already have them and I really doubt I’d make any effort to find one.  However, as good as this clock looks it does make it tempting to change that thought and get this Ceiling Rose Clock.

It’s made of lightweight strong cellular resin and measures 40cm in diameter.  It tells the time just like every other clock in the world, it just happens to make time reading look a bit more Victorian.  This was designed by Adam Kay who strives to create items that not only look great, but have function as well.  You can purchase this clock for £47 or about $69 through Rockett St George.

Hatcams offer hands-free video

Posted: 20 Jun 2010 01:39 PM PDT

Nothing will make your entire family cringe more than you wearing around a Hatcam.  Sure, it means all the hands-free videos that you could ever desire, but you’ll still look like a dork.  Now there are certain cases where some things prove more important than looking like a sane human being.  Like if no one ever believes you when you say how big the fish was that you almost caught, now you can have proof.

These hats come in blaze orange, khaki, camo, forest green and pink.  The design was actually created by Randy Peterson who loves hunting and fishing.  Although this was made for the outdoorsy types, I’m sure you could find other uses for it.  These Hatcams can be purchased alone or with the Flip MiniHD Camcorder.  The hat alone is $34.99 and the full kit is priced at $204.99.
