I love the idea of having everyday things with a twist. I mean, how many objects that we need or use everyday are actually any fun? How many of these objects do we even notice anymore? I have dozens of lamps around my home and I’d be hard pressed to successfully describe any one of them in great detail… well, maybe the one my mom gave me for a birthday, the rest are lovely, but who pays attention anymore?

Let’s Pizza Vending machine – Fresh? Pizza Pronto

We’ve covered the Pizza Vending machine here at Coolest-Gadgets before, and I thinks its safe to say that we agreed, if the pizza was any good at all, it could be a hit. Well, I guess people liked the concept, (and the pizza too) as the Let’s Pizza vending machines are about to take on the USA!

Expecting an obviously frozen pie, I was shocked to learn that Let’s Pizza acually vends an authentic Italian pie from SCRATCH in all of about two and a half minutes, complete with the necessary pizza cutter and napkins. The Machines, created by Italian Claudio Torghel, were first made  in Europe around 3 three years ago and they have been working their way West, ever since.

For under 6 bucks, the vending machine spits out (probably could have come up with better terminology there) a 10.5 inch steaming hot pizza pie with a choice of plain, pepperoni, ham or bacon, with or without tomato.  The dough is actually made fresh from flour and water, and each pizza is assembled per order.  Special infrared ovens allow for quick, crisp pizza faster than you can say Mama Mia!

These futuristic vending machines can actually hold enough ingredients to make around 200 pies and they are even Internet connected, in order to let operators control their inventory and although each pizza will set you back almost 700 calories, I can say I’m already getting some change together.

You know something that is funny? I just cannot help but fall in love with The Flash flash drive – no, that is not a typo or a repeat of a word on purpose, but rather, it just describes the flash drive aptly while being all punny. This is the ultimate self-referential flash drive of all time, but do not expect it to send and retrieve data at the speed of light though, as it is still limited by the USB port’s speed that it is plugged into.

RC Amphibious Car

I know that Batman has plenty of toys for him to play around with, just as he has women. Good thing his toys will not feel a tinge of regret as Bruce Wayne meets up with Tony Stark over a round of drinks in order to discuss their “conquests” over the past few weeks, and we have seen Batman’s fair share of big boys’ toys over the years. I suppose an amphibious car is not too much to ask, and surely this $99.95 RC Amphibious Car could prove to be a decent first prototype or seed of an idea for him to work on?

Basically, the RC Amphibious Car is a remote controlled car which is not only capable of driving over land, but it is also very able to traverse over water with equal facility. Fifteen pronounced treads specially arranged in a herringbone pattern on each of its 2″-wide tires will be able to give the RC Amphibious Car enough traction when it is on land, while it has a large enough surface area which paves the way for buoyancy on the water, allowing the treads to function like a series of paddles which in turn are able to propel the car forward, backward, left and right.
