Cellphone Voice Changer

Posted: 25 Apr 2010 09:00 AM PDT

Come time to call for that ransom, you can’t have the listener recognizing your voice.  Now there are all sorts of voice changers for your home phone, but you need something for when you’re on the road.  Thankfully, Amazon is to the rescue as always.  I haven’t the faintest idea what the practical application would be for a Cellphone Voice Changer, but there could be a perfectly legitimate reason for it.  Just in case though, if anyone asks I’d mumble something about it being just some silly cellphone accessory.  Most people might frown on you carrying one around.

Since it is a $21 set, it might be more similar to something you’d find at the joke shop as opposed to the secret spy shop.  Which might make it better suited for prank calling your friends.  You can even keep them on their toes since it has 4 voice change options.  It also has an included battery that offers 30 hours of use.

Crystal Lipstick Mouse

Posted: 25 Apr 2010 08:00 AM PDT

This is one of those ideas that could have actually been a pretty decent idea, but being a Japanese product they took it just a step too far.  A miniature mouse marketed towards women and made to resemble lipstick isn’t a bad idea by any means.  Along with the included pouch it actually makes it pretty purse friendly, but sadly they didn’t stop there.

No, they absolutely had to add in Swarvoski crystals to the mix.  Which could be the reason it’s so incredibly expensive.  The end of the mouse has the wireless USB device to hook it up to your laptop directly attached to it.  When you’re ready to put it to use it just pops off the end.  It uses a lithium battery that will last for days on end and just requires that you charge it every so often through your USB port.  The mouse comes in white, pink and black. All of which have a Swarvoski accent strip.  You can purchase one of these for $118 through the Japan Trend Shop.

HDMX Audio Mini Boom Box

Posted: 25 Apr 2010 06:50 AM PDT

Expensive and large sound systems are great, but it’s not always necessary.  Sometimes just what you need is an affordable small set up that allows for you to listen to all of your favorite music.  They’re great for the lesser used areas that sometimes you just want a little noise while you work, like the laundry room or kitchen.  For that this HDMX Mini Boom Box would be perfect.

This would be especially good for those of you that might be using an older iPod since it works with the Classic, Mini and Nano, but don’t worry it works for the Touch too.  It has an LCD clock readout on the front, an included remote control and 8 station presets to go along with the FM radio.  It also has an auxiliary jack for your other audio gadgets that you might want to use.  To keep it up and running you’ll have to run it off of 4 AA batteries or you can use the power adapter.  You can pick it up in either pink or black for $49.99 through Bed Bath & Beyond.

Whistle Keyfinder Set of 2

Posted: 25 Apr 2010 06:30 AM PDT

Most of us would have experienced the sinking feeling of having lost our set of keys one time or another, hoping that some kind soul would return the key to us upon finding it, or for us to find it years later in some unexpected place. Why not take no chances with the Whistle Keyfinder Set of 2? It works slightly differently compared to all the other keyfinders in the market, as all you need to do is give a nice whistle and the Keyfinder, should it detect your whistle, will light up and beep noisily until you successfully locate the merry bunch of keys. Of course, it would help if the batteries in the Whistle Keyfinder Set of 2 have enough juice to work, so make sure you test the batteries from time to time and replace when necessary. The Whistle Keyfinder Set of 2 will retail for £5.99.

QuickSnap Ice Tray

Posted: 25 Apr 2010 06:00 AM PDT

Most fridges these days come with an automatic ice maker, where you fill up the ice tray with some water and wait for a few hours before turning it over for ready ice cubes to drop out. Of course, the more expensive models have a better mechanism that churns out ice cubes by itself to make sure the ice box is always full without having to have human intervention. The QuickSnap Ice Tray however, costs a mere £7.99 so you can forget about it being automatic, but at least it has a built-in mechanism that allows you to release just one or a couple of cubes at a time – giving you just enough for your needs without unleashing an avalance of ice cubes at once thanks to the incorporation of individual switches.

Rotating Brush Water Broom

Posted: 25 Apr 2010 05:30 AM PDT

The Rotating Brush Water Broom is one unique way to keep your home or driveway clean, since it uses rotating brushes powered by water pressure in order to quickly scrub outdoor areas that normally would eat up hours of your precious time if you decide to take the well worn route of using a push broom or garden hose. A couple of circular nylon brushes on either side of the nozzle will spin when water passes through their turbines, helping you remove dirt efficiently from a variety of places including driveways, patios and poolsides. Since it is made of heavy-grade aluminum, you won’t have to worry about it falling victim to rust over the years. The Rotating Brush Water Broom will make the perfect Mother’s Day gift for supermoms worldwide at just $79.95.

Mypressi Handheld Espresso Machine

Posted: 25 Apr 2010 05:00 AM PDT

Fancy having your very own Espresso Machine, and a handheld one at that? The Mypressi Handheld Espresso Machine seems to be the perfect tool, since it works just about anywhere you bring it with you. This portable espresso dispenser relies on canisters of compressed N20 instead of hand pumps to give you a half-dozen or more strong pulls at an even 9-bar (135psi) throughout the duration of your brewing period, resulting in a hot, flavorful cuppa with a mild bitterness and strong crema. All you need to do is insert one of the NO2 chargers into the handle, spoon your choice of ground espresso into the chamber, fill up the reservoir with really hot water and pull the trigger after sealing it – resulting in an excellent hot brew of italian-style coffee shortly after. Looks like those who love pulling all nighters could make do with one of these puppies…
