Fantasy Caskets – For your Dream Funeral

We all know its inevitable, we’re all going to die. Quite frankly I’m not exactly sure how we so easily cope with that fact… but we do. I guess technically its the last relatively major event of our lives (or does the fact that we’re dead mean it doesn’t actually qualify?) Okay let’s not get philosophical here. I think planning for our eventual demise is a good thing, we plan for everything else, why not our last hurrah?

It used to be that our “send off” options were pretty slim, from a pine box to an extra large perma-seal metallic, a casket was a casket so to speak, but not anymore! Check out these cool Fantasy Caskets made by specially skilled craftsman in Ghana. For over 50 years the Ga people have been turning out these amazing coffin options meant to symbolize the deceased’s vocation, hobby or perhaps even a vice or personality trait. In Ghana funerals are not only a time of mourning, but a time to celebrate the person’s life, and their passing into another life.

Your “afterlife” options are endless, from fish and lobsters to Mercedes and cell phones these brightly colored works of art that are likely to last a lifetime (okay, I admit, in this case I don’t really know what that means) but it IS likely you’d be the first on your block to be buried in a giant iPod and thats got to be worth something. These Fantasy Caskets sell at markets in the Ghanaian capital, Accra for around 400 to 600 dollars US, which by the way, is about a years wages for the folks over there.

I have to admit I was leaning towards cremation, that is, until now. I can really see myself heading out in a giant bottle of wine. To see more pictures or to learn more about these West African artisans please visit Ghanaweb.com

Ferrari by Logic3 announces FS1 Air speaker dock

When you hear of a name like Ferrari by Logic3, you know for sure that this is no ripoff, but rather, it is a collaboration between one of the most successful stories in motorsports racing along with an audio company that always wants to deliver nothing but the best to its customers. Well, their latest collaboration has resulted in what they call the FS1 Air speaker dock, where this particular speaker dock will come with AirPlay technology which enables it to stream music wirelessly from iTunes or Apple devices.

Just what kind of hardware does the FS1 Air offer? Well, it boasts of a sophisticated design that was clearly inspired by the Scuderia Ferrari racing team, achieving a balance between the GT Car's innovative lines, creases and curves along the way. Not only that, there is also a 2.1 speaker system which will incorporate Apple AirPlay technology so that users are able to stream their favorite tunes sans wires from iTunes or Apple devices. This is one flexible speaker system which also sports Bluetooth connectivity, just in case you do not happen to own any AirPlay compatible device in your household, preferring instead to rock to Android or Windows based devices.

Oh yeah, did we mention that the FS1 Air speaker dock will also come with an Apple Dock connector that allows you to charge and play your Apple device simultaneously? The FS1 Air will boast of a compact design which in essence, allows it to be the perfect addition to any room in the house, or if you prefer to perk up your workplace, at the office. It will incorporate patented Class HD Technology alongside a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) that controls the crossover and equalization processes, delivering an end result which goes along the lines of best performance, natural musical timbre and extended low frequency response.

If you are interested, be prepared to fork out a rather hefty $649 for the FS1 Air Speaker Dock from Ferrari by Logic3.

Samsung Galaxy Win announced

Samsung is certainly a company that does not want to remain too specialized in their offerings to the masses. For example, they do want to do their level best to cater across a wide range of users when it comes to their smartphone range, which explains why they have entry level models, mid-range devices, and of course, flagship models that will send the world to a standstill whenever there is an impending announcement. Not only that, Samsung does deliver smartphones in all shapes and sizes, but it seems that they are placing more emphasis on the phablet segment this time around, with the announcement of the new Samsung Galaxy Win.

The Samsung Galaxy Win is said to be an intuitive new smartphone which was specially designed to balance the needs of the on-the-go user, where it is accompanied by massive processing power, the ability to perform multitasking, all crammed into a 4.7" design that would certainly leave some quarters wondering whether they should pick up the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 instead.

As for its hardware specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Win will run on a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, sport a 4.7" WVGA TFT display, with a 5-megapixel camera at the back alongside a VGA camera in front, where the rear camera boasts of capabilities like Continuous Shot, Best Photo, and multiple color effects that allows you to capture high-quality photos in a fun and easy manner. Not only that, it is accompanied by 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and just in case that is not enough, you can always further augment it by throwing in a microSD memory card to boot.

You will be able to choose from two colors when the Samsung Galaxy Win arrives in its respective markets, with Ceramic White and Titan Gray to pick, while a couple of variants are also at your disposal, where you will have to select between single SIM or dual SIM.

Magic Movers Electronic Wand

There is nothing quite like a bunch of rowdy kids in your home to tire yourself out a whole lot more compared to you completing a marathon. After all, these kids do seem to be bundles of inexhaustible energy, and since the world is constantly on the lookout for different sources of renewable energy, why not harness what your progeny have to offer? Of course, to do so in an inhumane manner is unforgivable, which is why we have to settle for a second best solution, that is, with the $21.99 Magic Movers Electronic Wand.

Basically, the Magic Movers Electronic Wand will not be able to harness the energy from your kids, but what it does is make sure that the little ones will be able to expend as much energy as possible, so that by the time dinner is over, they will be way too tired to bother you, and you can finally get some much needed peace and quiet around the home. The Magic Movers Electronic Wand would offer an interactive game that encourages kids to get up and move around when they play. There are more than 90 creative movements instructions stored in the wand itself, where they will be instructed to move! Leap like a lion! Hop like a frog! Stomp like a dinosaur! As long as it does not run out of the three AAA batteries inside, you are able to safeguard your precious quiet evenings.

iPad Document Scanner

The iPad is a tablet that has achieved its fair share of accolades, and you can basically find an app that does just about anything you want to with a tablet on it. Well, peripherals for the iPad have not been entirely the most interesting market to look at, as majority of the peripherals rolled out for it tend to be protective cases and covers, including those that come with a built-in keyboard so that you have a pseudo-Ultrabook of sorts on the go. Well, the $149.95 iPad Document Scanner is certainly something else altogether.

In a nutshell, the iPad Document Scanner functions as a device that is capable of scanning documents straight to an iPad. This scanner will be able to feed pictures as well as documents automatically, up to 8 1/2″ x 14″ in size, before converting them to the JPEG file format, where they are subsequently stored on a docked iPad. This does away with the need to scan documents to a computer before they are transferred over to an iPad, as the device will save the scanned images straight to the iPad’s camera roll. The scanning progress will be shown in real time on the iPad, and you will be able to enjoy images which have been scanned at 300 dpi resolution, paving the way for you to carry preserved documents in their digital formats in clear, full-color glory. Whenever your iPad is docked, the scanner will take this opportunity to juice itself up as well.
