For those who are looking for some extra protection for the iPad, tablet PC, netbook, or other smaller laptop, then you might want to check out the Pelican 1075 HardBack Cases.

RonI’s MechLift Electric manipulator does heavy lifting

Robots. Not only will they eventually take over the world, but they can lift more than us by several hundred pounds. RonI’s MechLift System is just another reminder that I am not in shape, and will never be able to lift as much as this.

The MechLift Electric Manipulator is a giant grappling arm that rides on a set of overhead rails. It has a telescoping aluminum pole with a vertical lift range of over six feet, and it can pick up objects as heavy as 1,400 pounds.

It has a changeable gripping head that is capable of lifting loads like the rolls that you see in the picture, and awkward loads like a giant flat door. Controls are done via joystick, and it looks like there is a screen there too.

You know, I used to work at Wal-Mart stocking shelves. I found that there were loads that were difficult to lift, and I wish I could have a machine carry it for me. I am dreaming of a retail store where on the ceiling is a series of rails, and there are seveal MechLift arms roving around at any given time.

Yeah, that’s where it’s at. Perhaps these robot arms could do the stocking for the big items, and maybe lift the heavy items for the shoppers.

Honda’s Micro Commuter concept car can be controlled with a smartphone

I’ve been seeing some nifty concept cars lately, like Toyota’s Fun-Vii. I’m not certain whether or not Honda can beat a car with touchscreen displays on the inside and outside, but the Honda Micro Commuter concept car could be it.

The Honda Micro Commuter does have interchangeable panels that insert in the front and sides that allow users to customize how their cars look with a 2D graphic pattern. Another killer feature is that it allows users to control the car’s various functions remotely via smartphone.

My Source does not reveal what functions are controllable with a smartphone, but I’m guessing that one can’t drive the car from the cell phone. I think James Bond had one of those in Tomorrow Never Dies. What is the legality of a full-sized remote control car?

Just to let you know, this car has a room for three. There is a driver that controls the car with two joystick-like levers, and two passengers can sit in the back. I like how the fenders practically cover the tires, and I love how the tires are white.

Yes, this is a concept car that was revealed this week at the Tokyo Motor Show, and it is probably not going to be hitting the road anytime soon.

Are you one who talks on the phone the whole day long? Well, if you cannot get enough chat time in your life going, then you might want to consider the Off The Hook shower head that will let you hold imaginary conversations with your boss, your sub-ordinates, your spouse, your cat, it doesn’t matter – at least you will be able to wash away all the dirt and grime from the day’s work, all from a red colored phone. I know that there are plenty of air guitar maestros out there, where in their own minds, they are able to churn out their own tunes to maximum effect, with the adoring masses being impatient to jump into their pants. Well, here is a little twist on the traditional air guitar, where we are talking about the £24.99 Air Table Tennis.
