To put it in a nutshell, both the IE 60 and IE 80 ear-canal phones will target music enthusiasts who want nothing but the best possible audio quality. They will feature an even more innovative design after taking into consideration the positive feedback from Sennheiser’s customers, and to prove a point, the ear-canal phones will rely on dynamic transducers which will cover the whole frequency range with but a single system. This ensures that distortion of any sort will remain at a minimum, even at high sound pressure levels. Also, the design and accompanying ear adaptor accessories allow for the best possible attenuation. The high end IE 80 model is capable of achieving a noise attenuation of up to 26 dB, where both earphones will see action for monitoring purposes, making it the ideal companion for MP3 players, portable media players and smartphones. As for the IE 60, this particular model will deliver high-resolution sound with excellent bass reproduction, being positively skewed towards modern pop and rock music by boasting impressive precision and high-resolution bass reproduction. Capable of passive noise attenuation of up to 20 dB, coupled with a frequency response of 10 to 18,000 Hz, the IE 60 will boast of luxurious brass accents which contrast the matte-black finish of the earphones. Thanks to a rugged housing and cabling, it is suitable for even the most demanding situations. Back to the IE 80 – this earphones will include a unique sound tuning function, where the miniature rotating control lets you increase or reduce the bass response as required. This translates to a lifelike, detailed sound and features a frequency response of 10 to 20,000 Hz with a passive noise attenuation of up to 26dB. Any takers? Skype Wi-Fi will be made available to travelers who are running on PCs, Macs and iOS-powered devices. In order to get started, you would have to download the latest version of Skype for Windows or Skype for Mac, or have the option of having downloaded the Skype Wi-Fi app straight to your iOS device. The moment use your valid Skype ID to sign in, you can look into your wireless network connection to see whether you are in a supported hotspot, how hard can that be? It is rather nice to see companies like Skype doing their bit to help consumers get closer to one another during the holiday season, even though one might be separated from the rest of the family by thousands of miles away. At least having the ability to “speak” virtually using a webcam and a microphone is still more real than a letter, although there is nothing quite like a labor of love through the written letter. In the place of buttons are finger swipes that I found quite difficult to work. Seriously, I finally figured out that one is for switching of modes and another is for actually switching the numbers of date, time, and time zone. Seriously, it took me a while to figure it out, which is the only bad thing I have to say about the product. The World Time Sport offers the ability to select from 24 time zones for one display mode, while optionally displaying the second time zone simultaneously. The dual time zone display can also be made to display the time of day, or both the date and time in either big or little numbers. As for the watch itself, it is a pretty thin 9.3 mm. It also has a curved shape that looks ergonomically created for a wrist unlike other flat-back watches. The purpose of this boat isn’t to alleviate overpopulation, but to help businesses. This boat is under development by a startup company known as Blueseed, and its purpose is to house businesses off the coast of California (near Silicon Valley, to be exact). The boat would be docked 12 miles southwest of San Francisco Bay, in international waters. It can house about 1,000 people, who can start their businesses there, and then, when the time is right, they can move their businesses right into Silicon Valley. There is a news report after the jump if you want to hear more about it. By the way, this giant boat will be accessible by ferry and helicopter. It looks like it has all the comforts of home, including some serious greenery. Blueseed is currently looking for investors for this boat, and they intend to start construction on it sometime next year.
