Basically, this unique display will debut at CES 2012 next year, where it will sport 84″ of viewing goodness, while ensuring it breaks new ground where immersive 3D home entertainment is concerned. We are bringing together all our Smart TV and 3D knowledge in the 3D UD TV in order to demonstrate to the CES audience that LG is committed to being the world's leading brand for immersive home entertainment in 2012 and beyond." Just what can you expect LG's 3D UD TV to deliver to your eyes? For starters, superb picture quality is a given, thanks to a cool 8 million pixels that is actually four times the resolution clarity (3840 x 2160 pixels) of current Full HD TV panels. Of course, at such a high resolution, popping in your Blu-ray disc is of no use since it would probably occupy just a small space on the display, and when you blow it up, it will just end up as a jagged copy. Guess this is one of the few times where hardware has outpaced “software” (in this case), so we will have to wait and see just what kind of imagery magic comes our way down the road.
