Gramophone Kit Plays And Records

Posted: 14 Feb 2010 12:00 PM PST

Although times have changed, records are still a very valued piece of technology.  Even despite that there are different and even more convenient ways to listen to music, records still have a following of their own.  If you would like the opportunity to record your own music onto a record, now you can pick up the Gakken Premium Gramophone.

In order to use it, just sing directly into the horn of the gramophone.  As you go a bamboo needle will cut grooves into your brand new vinyl record.  For those of you that want a little more than the exact sounds coming out of your mouth to printed onto the record, you can also adjust the tone and the speed.  When you purchase the kit it’ll include the bamboo needle and gramophone body, plus a recording sheet and a bamboo needle cutter.  You can purchase it for $144 through the Japan Trend Shop.

Grow Plants Right In The Fridge

Posted: 14 Feb 2010 11:08 AM PST

Having fresh herbs and vegetables to work with in your kitchen always gives food a better flavor.  However, it’s not as simple as just having a cute little window box full of them for some people.  Be it because of lack of space or having absolutely no green thumb abilities, sometimes you need some extra help.  Well this refrigerator would take care of both of those issues and keep your favorite herbs and veggies nearby.

Designer Hanna Sandstrom has been working with Green Fortune & Whirlpool to create a refrigerator concept that does almost all of the work for you.  This works with herbs and greens only and takes your seeds and turns them into full grown plants.  It’ll even do the watering for you automatically.  Plus with the window on the front it’d give your kitchen a much more lively look.  There aren’t any details on this becoming a reality, but we can always hope.

KitchenCalc 8300 Recipe Calculator

Posted: 14 Feb 2010 10:11 AM PST

Learning to cook on your own isn’t always easy.  Sometimes recipes just assume that you have more knowledge than you actually do, then if you want to cut a recipe in half things become even more difficult.  Instead of running to the computer to Google something every single time you get stumped on a measurement, you could keep this calculator in your kitchen.  Instead of normal math, it does the kind of math to make cooking a little more simple.

It can calculate recipe scaling to create less or more servings as well as deal with portion sizing.  Plus it will even do measurement conversions between US and foreign weights or measures.  Then if you need to do some normal math it’s also capable of those types of calculations.  If you need a spare timer, it has one built into it for those times when you have multiple things going at once.  If you’d like to remember those recipe sizes for future use, it has a memory function for that as well.  You can purchase it for $20 through Amazon.
