Cart Desk Baggage Tote turns into desk Posted: 08 Oct 2010 04:34 PM PDT Finding a decent spot to set up shop and get a little work done can be hard when you’re in busy areas. Sure, you might be able to find a random bench, but there are no guarantees that you’ll actually find a surface besides your lap to set up your laptop on. If you’d really like to buckle down and make sure that you can always have a desk, you could pick up this Cart Desk Baggage Tote. The whole thing turns into a convenient little computer desk. With this you won’t be stuck keeping your laptop on your lap. Plus, if you’d like a surface to eat off of, it’ll work just fine for that as well. Just slip one of your bags onto the cart and when you don’t need the desk it’ll be tucked out of sight. You can pick up one of these for $129.95 through the Comfort House. Sixty DECT Phone will give you your retro fix Posted: 08 Oct 2010 03:36 PM PDT Most people have that one type of gadget that they adore the retro or older versions. For me it’s phones, I can’t resist a retro or even antique phone. I have been absolutely pining over the Crosley Black Candlestick Phone. If you prefer your retro gadgets to have a modern touch though, you ought to look over the Sixty DECT phone from Sagemcom. It’s a gadget that perfectly intwines modern and retro looks. The round digital display manages to give modern conveniences, but still has that lovable old school feel. The wireless handset is one of the rare ones these days that when away from the base you won’t confuse it as one of your remote controls. Plus with that glossy orange finish you’ll always be able to easily spot it. It has 10 different ringtones to choose between as well as an answering machine. You can pick it up for 80.90EUR or about $112. Source: Newlaunches Tech Cult – We cover the latest tech news, but always with a funny twist. TriPot I Self Watering Planter Posted: 08 Oct 2010 03:06 PM PDT It seems like companies are always trying to come up with ways for you to ignore your plants a little more. However, a lot of the self watering mechanisms are far from stylish. Thankfully, Greenamic has come up with an attractive planter that is also capable of watering plants. It’s the ultimate solution for those of you that tend to forget to water those green plants a little too often. Admittedly I’m awful at keeping indoor plants watered. I’m not sure what it is about them, but I’m just not good at it. With this you’ll be covered for quite a while. To make this function you just have to fill up the reservoir and your plants will be well taken care of for up to 8 weeks. There’s even a water level indicator that’ll remind you as to when to refill the reservoir. At first glance I thought that these cost $328, but then I noticed the little HKD in parenthesis. As it turns out these are only $42 after you convert that number to US dollars. Source: HolyCool Coolest Gadgets UK – For all your UK centric tech and gadget news. Its predecessor originally made iPad users’ jaws drop the moment they saw how incredibly functional the case actually was. Well, that kind of word-of-mouth buzz would eventually develop to generate more than $175,000 in gross retail sales ever since it was launched in June. According to 25 year old owner and inventor Tim Angel, he swears by his ingenious design. He too was quoted as saying, “I honestly can not imagine a better case than the new Version 2. I’m so confident in this case I will offer 100% satisfaction or a full refund. I’ll even pay for the return shipping!” Now that’s some rather tough words to back up, so how does Version 2 measure up? The Version 2 will come with the same functionality as its predecessor, although you can expect a fair number of improvements. We’re talking about the use of better quality materials which will deliver an enhanced professional appearance, while making sure smaller logos that were requested by their customers are complemented and not squeezed out when looked at. Scheduled to ship from the middle of this month onwards, it will feature superior leather and an internal thin plastic lining to ensure the cover is kept straight and sturdy. All purchases will come with a soft micro-fiber like interior which will offer further protection for the iPad’s face. Jabra WAVE Bluetooth headset offers style and substance Posted: 08 Oct 2010 04:30 AM PDT
More on the Jabra WAVE’s behind-the-ear fit – it will emulate the design of its previous best sellers such as the Jabra EarWave boom and BT250. This signature Jabra style has already moved over 10 million units worldwide to date, and to provide you with even more confidence in your purchase, it has been voted as the most comfortable and stable style by consumers. The Jabra WAVE will deliver even greater comfort than behind-the-ear legacy products, albeit in a thinner, sleeker design. Apart from the mentioned features, you will also find Multiuse technology incorporated, where you can choose from a trio of designs, which are in black and red and a corded version in black. With the combination of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, the Jabra WAVE is also full well capable of delivering crystal clear audio – even while walking or when the outdoor elements aren’t ideal. The implementation of Jabra World of Apps Portal will also let you easily and quickly find applications that fit your lifestyle and make the most of your headset experience. We would say get this if you have yet to own a Bluetooth headset, after all, making phone calls when driving does require two hands on the wheel so anything less is just being an irresponsible driver. My TV Remote ready to revolutionize the living room Posted: 08 Oct 2010 04:00 AM PDT
Another piece of good news that ought to get you sitting up straight to take notice – My TV Remote won’t break the bank at all, considering it retails for all of $19.95. Ryz Media however has gone the extra mile by delivering a couple of infrared transmitters in the box itself, enabling two people to make full use of their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad in order to master their TV (and not the other way around). My TV Remote is already available Stateside at the right vendors and retailers if yo’re interested, where you will be able to experience TV in a totally new way by combining the following :-
What is supporting My TV Remote? Well, a cloud based service will handle all of the back door processing, which translates to the My TV Remote app helping you enjoy the latest program guide information for your particular system all the time. Not only that, the service will also automatically make available device codes for new equipment which you purchase for your home theatre or TV viewing, having them sent wirelessly to your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Best of all is this – there is no longer any need to aim your old remote device at the iPod or iPhone or iPad to have it learn the code.
