The S521 is naturally the leader of the pack at the moment, so let us focus on it instead of its lesser brethren. Boasting an ambient light sensor, you will be able to offer your audience optimum brightness based on existing light conditions. Apart from that, the S521 comes with an Enhanced Digital Signage Technology Suite that offers over 30 built-in features to benefit a variety of applications. Despite all of its specifications and features, environmentalists need not fret since this comes wtih a low level of power consumption while boasting a handful of digital connection options to keep up with the times. It does not forget about the good old days either, sporting standard analog connections to satisfy the myriad of large-format display applications. Why the Razer Abyssus Mirror Special Edition, you ask? Case in point, a jacket that is nothing but “frickin’ lasers”. There are about 200 of these laser diodes that are sewn on the garment itself. There is nothing here that could help feed the world, but this jacket is just “frickin’ cool”. I suppose the reason why this laser-jacket was made is so that you look like a disco ball without any light to make the myriad reflections. Except that you’re creating dots of red light, not white. I believe that Bono once wore one of these jackets for one of his concerts, and there was concern that people viewing this jacket could be hurt. After all, there is a reason why you’re not supposed to look at the laser on your CD or DVD player. It turned out that the lasers on Bono’s jacket were “safe class 2M lasers which have been defocused for additional safety”. I have no idea if the creator, Wie-Chieh Shih, took the same precautions. But hey, I’m assuming if this guy is intelligent enough to create a jacket with 200 laser diodes, then he is smart enough to figure out how to make the beams not blinding. As you can see from the picture, a laser has been used to create clouds. It was actually some German scientists, and they didn’t just point a laser at the sky and make clouds. No, these guys shot some lasers into a chamber of some water-saturated air at about -24 degrees Celsius. Okay, I think that we all see the next step here. After all, if we can create clouds, why can’t we create clouds that can do rain? In that case, can’t we create clouds that can do snow? In fact, let’s just create a system of lasers that will totally control the world’s weather. Man, that sounds like the plot of some cartoonish villain doesn’t it? Actually, it was the plot of the 1998 TV-to-movie remake of The Avengers. Yeah, Sean Connery had the power to control the weather, and “now is the winter of your discontent”. Yeah, this weather control could easily be abused by super-villains, but I’m going to say that I would use this to seriously make it rain in the desert. Of course, I’m not certain what kind of eco-system we would be creating with this type of technology. It’s fun to contemplate, though. What you are seeing here is a model of the NCC-1701-A, and it can actually fly! I had to see it to beleive it for myself. Not that I saw it, but I saw this video after the jump, and it doesn’t look like any special effects were used. Granted, I believe the Enterprise can fly without a propeller in back, but this one needs that extra boost that even Scotty couldn’t provide. I applaud him for managing to get this terrific starship up in the air, and I suppose that he managed to do it with 21st century technology rather than 23rd century. Yeah, this is the time where all sorts of Star Trek jokes can be made. And believe me, they make several on the video. I suppose that you would be considered a “geek” if you get them. I consider myself a geek because I know that the nacelles are far too big to be an exact model replica of the Starship Enterprise. Dang, I sound just like the Comic-Book Guy from The Simpsons. No gadget is ever quite complete without a Game Boy themed case. If there isn’t one available, then clearly it’s not an important gadget. Thankfully the iPad has officially been declared important enough to have a Game Boy case. Sure, it’s not something that’s exactly massed produced, but at least it can be purchased through the lovable Etsy. The sleeve is pretty basic, it was all sewn together by a machine. It’s not something that was hand done. Even the little buttons were attached by using the sewing machine. It has all of the fake buttons a Game Boy is expected to have like A and B as well as Start and Select. It looks nice and squishy on the inside, so it’s likely that this will adequately keep your precious iPad safe. You can purchase the case for $34 through Etsy. If you prefer cheap cable management, it tends to involve anything you happen to have around. That usually includes things like twist ties and zip ties, both of which work pretty well. Sure, they aren’t the most attractive thing, but they’re easy to use and hold the cords pretty firmly. Well now you can combine looks with that easy use quality. These zip ties actually have cute little leaves to decorate your chords. It gives all of your cords the look of being one giant vine. This way you don’t have to hide them quite as much.
