Clearly, the crowd for these devices are the extreme sports people, the ones who ski, dive, ride, or some other type of daring activity that I don’t do. This crowd would be familiar with GoPro and Contour cameras that attach to helmets, and it would appear that Liquid Image wants to get in on this tiny camera action with their new line of EGO HD. The EGO HD is a “mini extreme sport camera for surfboards, autos, bikes, motorcycles, kayaks, or anything that you want to mount your Ego to”. It streams video via smartphones, tablets, or computers, and no extra wireless module attachment is required for wireless Live streaming. It has some interesting ports like a micro-USB, and I believe this is where the power goes. I believe the footage records on a microSD, and I believe that there is an HDMI port there, but don’t quote me on it. The Ego HD will come in a variety of colors which include black, white, blue, red, and green. I don’t yet have a price, but I believe it will be low. I was stopped by someone who wasn’t really related to the Verizon booth, and he wanted to show off this head-mounted computer that you see this handsome man wearing in the picture. Even though it makes me look like one of the Borg from Star Trek, on my left eye is a display. I found that I could view images just by focusing, and it was sort of like aiming an arrow with one good eye. As for interacting with the display, that requires vocal commands, the man who was showing me the product called the computer “Golden-i”. To turn on the display, he would say “Golden-i, wake up”. From there, it was all about accessing a menu like an iPad, except with my voice and not my fingers. In case you are worried about the small amount of real estate that this tiny screen has to offer, let me alleviate your concerns. The user is allows to bring up many images, and can turn his or her head to see each one. In other words, it makes up for lack of space. Sadly, one cannot just go to the store and buy one of these. I believe that the future of this tech is a pair of video goggles that will fold up and slip into the pocket, but I’m not certain how far away we are from that. Instead, I discovered PrimeSense, a way of taking control of the television with motion control, not just the video game aspect. It would appear that PrimeSense is ready to take the Kinect to the next step, and their 3D sensor, shown here in this picture, is prepared for a new future. PrimeSense enabled me to take control of my video content. From a motion-controlled menu, I was able to select different videos by making a grabbing motion and pulling it to me. Their channel surfing menu was set up so I could see all my channels simultaneously, and I could select one with the grabbing method. In addition to these cool features, PrimeSense is definitely trying to get developers on board with their Natural Interaction (NI) software. Since it is open source, this will surely lead to a lot of users creating all kinds of apps for PrimeSense software. Something tells me that voice control is going to get involved as well. So I guess that we are all looking forward to a future of motion-controlled televisions. This is assuming that we will even want video content in our living room. We have reported on Liquid Image products before. They are most most effective at making digital cameras that are mounted onto specially made goggles. 
You never know what you wIill find at CES, especially when you are not looking for it. In my case, I was just wandering past the Verizon booth, and was quite prepared to ignore it. I usually ignore the larger booths at CES, as they are the bigger companies, and I have usually already heard what they have to say. 
While I was meandering from booth to booth at CES, I saw one display for PrimeSense, and I thought that someone was just playing Fruit Ninja for the Kinect. 
I have gone through my fair share of flat tires in the past 10 years since getting my license, and it is always a hassle to take out the replacement tire. Soiling my hands is not an issue, but to sweat in the tropical heat at the side of a dusty road while jacking up the car? That, I absolutely loathe. Still, an electronic jack would be useful, and just in case no motor workshops are open during that day, or I happen to be stranded in some backwater area, the
