Samsung Galaxy Grand smartphone announced

It seems that Samsung's plan on expanding the Galaxy brand of devices is showing no sign of slowing down, not in the least with the latest announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Grand. It is said that the South Korean conglomerate has carefully positioned the Samsung Galaxy Grand to be an ideal smartphone for those who live fast-paced mobile lifestyles as well as demand far more from their smartphone compared to a standard user. Let us dig into just what the Samsung Galaxy Grand can deliver, shall we?

For starters, the Samsung Galaxy Grand will be powered by the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, which should be good enough and leave you no room for any complaints. If you want to look for a device with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, well, the Samsung Galaxy Grand just isn't for you. Not only that, the Galaxy Grand will also feature a vivid 5.0'' display (no Full HD resolution here unlike other high end devices in the market like the HTC Droid DNA and Oppo Find 5) that promises to deliver an expansive viewing experience, letting you view messaging, multimedia and Web content in brilliant color and clarity.

Despite packing quite a generous display, the Galaxy Grand remains modest in terms of its design, being slim, ergonomic and comfortable to hold. Thanks to the Multi Window feature, you are able to enjoy true multitasking ability while running multiple apps all at once without the need to switch screens.

There is a dual-core 1.2GHz processor underneath the hood that keeps everything running just fine, and while it is not the fastest kid on the block, it should still be able to handle some of the more demanding apps and games in the market without missing a beat. The camera is also one point to look out for, boasting zero shutter-lag and ultra-quick camera start-up. Thanks to its backside illumination sensor, it will pave the way for clear shots even in dark conditions, in addition to offering Full HD video recording capability.

No idea on pricing or availability, but the Samsung Galaxy Grand should keep the busiest of bees happy thanks to its Dual SIM capability. Are you interested in picking one up?

LG has two new Google TV models at CES 2013

CES 2013 looks set to be a blast, as with all other editions of CES in the past. What kind of newfangled technology can we look forward to in a fortnight's time as CES goes into full swing at Las Vegas? For starters, we do know that LG Electronics will be introducing an extended Google TV range, where the new models will be known as the GA7900 and GA6400, and these bad boys will deliver an outstandingly intuitive user experience at a size that ought to suit everyone, while meeting more consumers' expectations than ever before.

Sporting Google's latest platform as well as LG's redesigned Magic Remote Qwerty, they will both work together in order to enhance the effectiveness of Voice Search and the PrimeTime quick guide. With the inclusion of an updated Smart Home, it is said to also add to the user experience by offering convenient, streamlined access to VoD (Video on Demand), YouTube and additional apps. You will be able to discover exciting new content from the rich pool of choices that are available on LG Google TV in a way that is easier than ever before. Not only that, the premium model will throw in LG's advanced Cinema Screen design for an undeniably sleek and modern finish.

If you are an avid gamer, you will be stoked to hear that LG Google TV will offer the OnLive app pre-installed, where it will turn your TV into an incredible gaming platform without the need to purchase a separate console. I still think that this kind of setup will not work as well as a regular dedicated console, but hey, at least the app will let you enjoy hundreds of high quality video games available instantly from the cloud. With CINEMA 3D TV functionality, the LG Google TV uses FPR technology that will keep movie buffs and gamers happy by delivering a great 3D effect without the distracting flicker. Any takers?

Hands Free Wine Aerator

When you talk about a hands-free device, most of the time, our minds would drift towards something like a Bluetooth headset. After all, we all know just how dangerous can it be not only to ourselves, but to other road users as well if we were to use one hand to hold the steering wheel, and the other the smartphone. Well, here is a hands-free device that you might want to consider for parties and gatherings in your home, especially when you love to have some wine with your meals – the $79.95 Hands Free Wine Aerator would certainly be worth calling upon.

The Hands Free Wine Aerator is a decanter with an adapter which will hold a bottle that has been inverted in order to quickly aerate wine, while leaving it in a hands-free situation. It will be different from the other traditional aerating methods which take up the better part of two hours, as this decanter will immediately begin to soften the tannins and taste of alcohol while enhancing the fruity and floral notes. Thanks to Its broad, flask-like base, it will deliver a large, enclosed surface area which gently releases a vintage’s subtle character as the wine runs down the decanter’s interior. Made from lead-free mouth-blown crystal, it can hold up to 1 1/2 liters of wine.
