Turn Photos Into Funnies

Now that the holidays are done you are probably looking back at your photos and reminiscing. Maybe it was your Uncle making a fool of himself on Christmas Day. Or perhaps the cat attacking the tree is something you want to commemorate. Whether from the last weeks or previous times all photos have a story behind them, right? Good times deserve proper dialog and humor.

The $19.99 Comic Strip Photo Frame gives you a chance to turn those memorable pics into a fun comic. With space to display 6 photos you can choose from the same event or a variety of your favorite snapshots. Included with the frame is a sheet of adhesive dialog bubbles and a marker. Once you put your photos in jot your own expressions on the bubbles and apply. “BAM” “”Ka-pow” or whatever comes to mind. You can create a comic complete with your own photos. Stickers are reusable too, so switch out your story and adjust the dialog as frequently as you want. So now your Uncle’s antics can become a funny memory and the cat suddenly exclaims “kowabunga” when attacking the tree. Whether used on your recent holiday gaffes or on a variety of your favorite pictures, make sure that you turn them into a funny memory.

Trakdot Luggage tracker

It does not really matter whether you do a whole lot of traveling, or you just pack your suitcase once a year for the annual company trip – either way, the moment your luggage gets out from your home, there is always a risk of your luggage going missing, or being rerouted to somewhere else. I suppose necessity being the mother of invention holds true, which is why the Trakdot Luggage tracker was born – or rather, brought into existence.

The SITA claims that nearly 26 million bags actually go missing each year from airports all over this big blue globe that we live in. Well, you need not let that statistic spoil your upcoming journey, as travelers who are deeply concerned about the safety of valuables are now able to enjoy a simple, affordable luggage tracking solution from Trakdot. Basically, the Trakdot Luggage tracker is tiny enough to fit into a checked bag, where it will get to work reporting city location in real time just about to any mobile, Apple, Android, or SMS capable devices. Nice to know that the lowest common denominator is served here, meaning there is no need to own a smartphone just to make use of the Trakdot.

The Trakdot Luggage tracker was specially built for travel convenience, as it comes in the form of a palm-sized tracker which is extremely light, and will fit nicely into just about any size bag. The luggage locator system itself is capable of delivering city-specific information on the whereabouts of checked baggage in real time. In the rather unfortunate event of the Trakdot protected bag arriving somewhere else, at least you know just which city is it "parked" at, so there is no need to fret.

The Trakdot Luggage tracker will arrive in the mass market from March this year at $49.95 a pop, where it is accompanied by an activation fee of $8.99 and an annual service fee of $12.99.

Boom Dock iSpeaker

When it comes to docking stations for the iOS-powered range of devices, these are dime a dozen. In fact, dime a dozen does not really describe it best, it would be a gazillion iDocks hanging around on store shelves, looking pitifully at the masses who walk by each day, hoping that someone would rescue them from such a mediocre existence so that they can really show off to the listener just what kind of audio performance they are capable of. Well, the $25.99 Boom Dock iSpeaker does not need to rest on a store shelf, as you can always make an online purchase and have it delivered right to your doorstep. Apart from that, it also comes in a shape of a boom box, meaning you can relive those old school moments of your youth as you blast current tunes via a retro looking device.

As for old faithful, you might as well send it into retirement and perform an upgrade by picking up the (relatively lightweight) Boom Dock iSpeaker. It allows you to tote the boombox around without having to struggle much, and you also need not sacrifice your sense of musical style. Be mindful though, the Boom Dock iSpeaker will rely on power from your connected iDevice, meaning it has no batteries built in, but your iDevice will be sucked dry faster than normal. It will play nice with the iPod mini, classic and 3rd to 5th generations, iPod nano 1st to 5th generations, iPod touch, iPhone and iPad.

Griffin announces Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case for iPhone 5

You know that your smartphone is one of the more expensive impulse purchases that you can make (from the technological point of view that is unlike jewelry or an expensive watch, where the final price point is not to say that expensive, and yet it is crucial enough to warrant a purchase), so it makes perfect sense to do your bit and purchase adequate protection for it. Case in point (pardon the pun) would be Griffin's Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case for iPhone 5, where it will bring together Catalyst's expertise in designing waterproof products alongside more than two decades of experience at Griffin as one of the most established companies in the iOS accessory space.

Touted to be one of the most technical waterproof products available in the market as at press time, this is certainly a whole lot more convincing compared to the original Survivor case by Griffin. Its predecessor (and of course, also its inspiration) was built to military standards, and it has also lived to be synonymous with extreme-duty protection for mobile devices, making it ready for everyday life and adventures. In fact, the Survivor has become one of Griffin's best-selling protective case ever since it debuted a couple of years ago.

Griffin continues to lead the way where the protective case industry is concerned by rolling out the Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case for iPhone 5, although you will need to trade $79.99 to bring one of these bad boys home. Specially designed and built for freedom in and around water, the Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case is able to go whenever and wherever adventure beckons. This particular waterproof case is 9.8 feet deep (3 meters) and has been drop-tested to 6.6 feet (2 meters), while at the same time delivering full access to all of the iPhone's features.

It is also ultra-rugged and waterproof, ensuring that the iPhone 5 remains well protected from the elements without having to sacrifice the ability to photograph, video, take calls, listen to audio and even plug in to recharge the iPhone battery while being protected. This is made possible thanks to button covers, while its crystal clear housing enables users to showcase their iPhone in addition to having them visually inspect the main o-ring seal for reliable waterproof protection.

Any takers? It ought to arrive later this month for those who are interested.
