GYST Bags give clean place to stand and change

Posted: 04 Apr 2010 12:00 PM PDT

If you’ve ever used a shower at a campground, you know what it’s like to take a shower and change all while wearing a set of cheap sandals.  Those of you that find yourself in situations where you need to change in not so clean conditions, might appreciate these GYST bags.  They were made to lay on the ground and allow for you to have a small clean spot to change on.

It would make changing somewhere with sand, mud, snow or even those questionable showers at campgrounds a whole lot easier.  The bags come in 4 different styles, so if you’re not into bookbags, you can also get a messenger bag.  The underside of the bag is completely waterproof, so it can handle being laid on not so dry ground.  There’s also a separate storage compartment to hold those wet or dirty clothes.  The bags can be purchase for anywhere from $93 on up to $166.

Block Speakers pretend to be wood

Posted: 04 Apr 2010 11:00 AM PDT

Nothing screams class quite like plastic painted to look like wood.  It just instantly makes everything look nicer.  Sure, they could have used real wood, but that would make the speakers cost more.  Plus plastic is just cooler.  These block speakers look like a miniature version of a set of massive speakers my parents had when I was a kid.  If you have a thing for vintage looking speakers, then you’ll be able to get your hands on these at an affordable rate.

These come in pairs and will plug into all sorts of things.  Be it an iPod or even some cheap MP3 player, these speakers aren’t really picky.  After all, they do have wood grains painted directly onto them.  You can’t be picky with looks like that.  You can pick the 2 watt set of speakers up for $28.

Ion Tailgater iPod Portable Speaker

Posted: 04 Apr 2010 10:07 AM PDT

For those of you that enjoy both listening to and creating music, this Ion Tailgater could have multiple uses.  It offers an attractive and large, yet still portable iPod speaker.  The large speaker has a very strong resemblance to a guitar amp and there’s reason for that.  If you’re not in the mood to listen to music anymore, you can plug in your guitar and start creating your own.

The amp can function for 8 hours on the rechargeable battery for when you’re in the mood to take it around with you.  The case is heavy duty with metallic accents and a sturdy handle to make it easier to carry around.  It has a built-in iPod dock that will work with most iPods with the exception of 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations of the iPod.  It has an input for a guitar/bass, a battery level indicator and even an included microphone.  If you’re tired of using up those rechargeable batteries you can also use the included power cable.  All of it will cost you $225 through Urban Outfitters.

Facadeprinter makes Berlin a whole lot more interesting

Posted: 04 Apr 2010 05:30 AM PDT

Berlin has a brand new gadget that will definitely get people all excited – and we’re not talking about a new beer machine or the iPad, but the Facadeprinter. This device took at least two years to construct, and is more than ready to spice up the dreary walls of Berlin with plenty of color, as long as you have a flair for art. It would be interesting to see the city start to change parts of its dreary areas with a whole lot of color, don’t you think so? Hopefully the authorities there would be understanding enough to let the Facadeprinter be used appropriately without citing city by-laws or guidelines to prevent one from expressing him/herself via art.
