A Frame of Any Size

Sometimes we just need to change up the décor in our worlds. Maybe it is time for some new blinds or maybe you need to paint an accent wall in a room. How about rearranging furniture? Makes it feel like a new room. Switching up the décor and furniture often leads to moving pictures on the wall. Maybe you have a new one you would like to highlight. Inevitably the new and old are not the same size. Who wants to go get a new print framed? Not me.

I will make an investment in a one-size-fits-all Picture Frame. OK, so it is not perfect for the Mona Lisa or any work of art that may be worth anything. But it may be fun to change up your look. A guy named AndyZ built a prototypeof this frame and submitted to the audience at Quirky.com which chose it to go into development. We shall see if they use wood for a more natural look or turn to lower cost options. Sure this frame is not for everyone, but for a household where pics on the wall are constantly changing (i.e. kid filled house) it would be a fun way to sort of add another dimension to the hanging. Sizes yet TBD. Check progress of the project on Quirky and maybe see it in a store near you sometime in the future

Keep Playing Into the Night

I fondly remember the childhood days of playing games outside until you could not see a foot in front of you. Neighborhood football, baseball, basketball or soccer games got everyone out of the house and active. That moment when parents started yelling "come home" out the door was always a sad moment. When mom said that it was pitch black out I never had a comeback better than "but moooommmm, the game’s not done!"  Wish Reboot Sports was around in those days. We could have played all night.

Reboot's Magma Light Up technology enables games to go on long after the sun goes down. LED's built into the balls and bats enable you to catch, make contact and play long into the night. Magma Light units, including the LEDs, are built to handle the rigors of being whacked, thrown and more. And you can see the lighted objects from up to 100 yards away for those hail Mary's to win the game. Battery life varies from unit to unit – footballs and small balls being 40 hours, bats and future bigger balls about 20 hours. Visit Reboot's website to get hooked up with with two Magma Light Up Balls or a Scoop Ball set for $12.95 or Bat/Ball Set or Football for $24.95. They even offer a 3-pack of light up golf balls for $27.95. Stay tuned for upcoming soccer ball and basketball launches too. And good news travels fast as Maxim and NBC have recently featured Magma Light Up units as a good gift for the die hard/play hard sports fan.  If you want those days of "come home, you can't see" to be over and you or the sports fan in your life want to play into the night then visit Reboot Sports.

Roulette Wheel IQ Cube

Have you managed to figure out just what kind of gamer are you? Some of us like to solve adventure-based puzzles such as Mario, the Legend of Zelda series, or perhaps a little bit of swashbuckling adventure on the side with Lara Croft in her Tomb Raider outings. For the more tame folks out there, there is always the classic Rubik's Cube, but assuming you have mastered this puzzle for many years already and are out looking for a new adventure, here is the $79.90 Roulette Wheel IQ Cube that certainly looks as though it will cause you to crack your head permanently in solving it.

For starters, the Roulette Wheel IQ Cube sure as heck looks a whole lot more complicated than your regular Rubik's Cube, where the former is positively child's play. Each surface on the Roulette Wheel IQ Cube comes with a roulette, so the ultimate objective in solving it is not only to accomplish each surface's color, but also the roulette color alongside its sequence number. Looking at it already makes my head spin, and I think I would like to pass, but if you want one, gadget mavens Brando will ship out its pre-orders at the end of this month.

Let us have a show of hands here – how many of you out there love a game of paintball? You know, hiding around the corner, hoping to get that vital shot in so that the rest of your mates will be able to take over the strategic point. Well, I am quite sure that paintball enthusiasts are more than familiar with regular paintball equipment, but since you want to stand out from the rest of the crowd always, here is the Airow Gun paintball attachment that will definitely add color (in more ways than one) to any paintball course.

Basically, the Airow Gun paintball attachment is a unique and innovative evolution in the paintball industry, where you should be able to increase your paintball gun accuracy with every release of the string. I am not quite sure whether this would be tantamount to cheating or not in anybody's books, but better equipment has always been the quest of the pure sportsperson who wants to break limits, eventually merging man and machine as one.

Props Power Case for the iPad

So, you cannot live without your iPad, and bring it with you just about wherever you are. The thing is, the iPad might have fantastic battery life, but sooner or later, it is not going to last, and you will need to make a trip to the nearest power outlet to juice up that well traveled tablet of yours. Why not take the pro-active role in ensuring that your precious iPad never runs out of juice, or at least, would find no reason to, than with the Props Power Case for the iPad? Do not be fooled by its name, as the Props Power Case for the iPad will play nice with your second generation iPad or newer, and owners of the iPad mini will not miss out on the "fun" too, as they have their own version to look forward to.

Dead battery issues would definitely be a thing of the past.

In effect, it's a zero-footprint charging powerhouse, and there's no need to carry around a bulky charging bank."

As mentioned earlier, it comes in two options – a 12,000 mAh or 8,000 mAh battery. The version that plays nice with the iPad Mini will only come with a built-in 8,000mAh battery for obvious reasons. Digital Treasures have thrown in an LED battery status indicator located on the top of the case, so that with but a single glance, you will be able to obtain a visual update on just how much juice remains on the battery before the battery itself needs a trip to the power adapter. Each purchase will come with a charging cable and USB adapter cable. The Power Case with Built-in 12,000 mAh battery will cost $99.95 a pop, while those who opt for the 8,000 mAh version will pay $89.95 less. Neurowear's Mico headphones know just how you are feeling

Have you ever seen a wedding video or photo montage? Those tend to be extremely sweet, and one of the main factors that make such videos appealing to the masses would be the background music that accompanies it, and more often than not, it would be the love song that is in vogue at that point in time. Well, Neurowear, a company that in the past has come up with its fair share of consumer electronics devices which are capable of taking into account your brainwaves, and then having said device interact accordingly, is back with their latest creation – a pair of headphones known as Mico which is capable of figuring out your current mood, and choosing the right song from your playlist so that it can alleviate moments of depression and perhaps help you keep a cool head when you have just blown your top.

Basically, the Neurowear Mico headphones will come with a built-in brainwave sensor that is capable of detecting your mood, and then play a song to match it. Chances are pretty high that the Mico headphones is the result of Neurowear dabbling with a project that was called Zen Tunes in the past, where it analyzed a person’s brainwave data while listening to specific songs, so this could very well be an offshoot.

The Mico headphones do look bulkier than normal although it will also be able to fit in nicely as a standard issue over-the-ear headphones. The thing that helps make the Mico headphones stand apart would be the inclusion of an EEG (electroencephalograph) sensor that protrudes from the front. Neurowear claims that this sensor will do the job of analyzing your brain patterns, determining your mood and then pick a song from Neurowear’s database to match that current state of mind, or even it out.

Details on pricing and availability of the Neurowear Mico headphones remain to be determined, but I am not too sure whether this is a sound idea (pardon the pun) for a commercial release.
