Posted: 15 Aug 2012 07:02 AM PDT A person can only get so excited about baby stuff – especially if you are not a parent like me. We buy our gift, somewhat clueless as to what is truly helpful to parents yet unique at the same time. And for those of you that are parents, you just want to find things that are useful! Cute quickly gets replaced by practical. 4moms hears us all. This fairly young company designs and builds innovative products with both parents and babies in mind. Products are totally practical in their design and function. Perusing their website I found myself – the non-parent – saying "this stuff is COOL." You know if a non-parent says its cool that it is not your run of the mill baby products. Read on to learn about a couple of 4moms products visit 4moms.com or Amazon for more information or to buy. mamaRoo®Bouncy seats or vibrating swings saved many a parents sanity to date. Most babies I have known go through a phase where bouncing or vibrating is the only thing that can calm them. But what happens when you can't reproduce that motion? Ever stuck out of the house trying to emulate a swing or seat? Not so easy, because in reality we can't! Welcome to mamaRoo from 4moms. This creative child care cradle gives the familiar look of a bouncy seat, but replicates human motions. mamaRoo sways from side to side and bounces up and down just like moms and dads do to comfort the little one. The seat adjusts to any reclining position and mamaRoo comes with built in speakers and nature sounds! Not enough? There is an auxiliary plug to connect your music player. An LCD display on the base allows control of motion and audio. All of this is available for just $199.99. Babies hit the jackpot with the mamaRoo and parents can rest assured that they won't have to compete with the bouncy seat or vibrating swing. OrgamiTrue confession: I, the non-parent, am intimidated by baby strollers. Untangling or packing them makes me crazy. Push this, pull this, secure that, how do you adjust the seat, etc. Seems like a lot of work! 4moms engineered approach keeps it simple but adds oh so many perks. Orgami is the world's first power folding stroller. Yes, touch the button and it folds itself up! See it in action. Where does power come from? It charges as you walk! And 4moms knows that power is valuable so they include an attachment for a cell phone charger and both pathway and daytime running lights. And if that's not enough, Orgami contains an LCD screen displaying mileage (total or trip), temperature and speed. Not to worry, plenty of storage space still exists like with a typical stroller. Sure you will pay more than a standard stroller, at $849.99, but Orgami helps enable a more active family and fewer headaches while going mobile.

LED Animated Holiday Window Display Posted: 15 Aug 2012 06:30 AM PDT You might think that the year end holiday season is still some months away, leaving you with plenty of time left to save up and make the necessary holiday purchases in the weeks and even months to come, but life more often than not has a strange way of speeding up things to the extent where you actually regret of not being more efficient in your time management, leaving you with plenty to do at the last minute instead. Well, those who want to get the jump on the rest of their family members where holiday decorations are concerned can check out the $99.95 LED Animated Holiday Window Display. This particular holiday decoration will be able to light up the winter darkness, thanks to its lively animations or custom graphics. Not only that, with the LED Animated Holiday Window Display, you are able to choreograph your very own cycle of your favorite scenes, or perhaps take your pick from seven other thematic image collections. The free software can be downloaded for Windows 7, Vista, and XP platforms. [ LED Animated Holiday Window Display copyright by Coolest Gadgets ] |
Posted: 15 Aug 2012 06:00 AM PDT The next time someone asks you for the time, you might want to flip a switch. Wait a minute here, you say, what do you mean by “flip a switch”? Aren’t most, if not all, timepieces supposed to tell you the time at but a glance without the need to press a fancy button? Not so with the $99.99 Wall Switch Watch, where it will sport an old school switch that you will need to flip in order to tell the time. There will be digital LEDs in a shade of red which light up whenever you flip said switch, so that your eyes will be able to see what figures have formed, and the chemicals in your brain successfully puts two and two together, leading you to blurt out the current time to whoever asked for it. Coming in a black silicon strap with stainless steel buckle, this is definitely far from a refined Swiss timepiece, but at least it offers something that is dramatically different from your regular watches. The LEDs will help conserve energy by turning itself off after 5 seconds of inactivity. [ Wall Switch Watch copyright by Coolest Gadgets ] |
Sol Republic deadmau5 headphones Posted: 15 Aug 2012 05:30 AM PDT Having a movie that looks really great in Full HD resolution is nice, but when you cannot couple that with decent audio, then it is somewhat a crippled movie watching experience. I guess you can say that this would be somewhat akin to playing video games without the sound, or having french fries while holding the salt, or how about a chocolate cake without the icing? You get the picture, and to make sure that one is full well able to appreciate just what great sounding audio is like, one will need to wear a pair of decent headphones to boot. Sol Republic steps up to the plate to meet this particular task head on, by announcing their deadmau5 collaboration Tracks HD headphones, which was specially developed and produced in close cooperation with the multiple award-winning electronic music artist Joel Zimmerman, who would be better known as deadmau5, in addition to digital artist Joshua Davis. More on the Sol Republic deadmau5 headphones in the extended post. According to Kevin Lee, SOL REPUBLIC CEO, "We didn't want to make yet another artist headphone for namesake. However, some music artists are truly creative beyond music and have an interesting artistic view. Joel Zimmerman is one of them. What he created in the end with Joshua Davis is very cool interpretation of the world of deadmau5, part controlled part not, which in itself says something. We're excited that Joel liked our Tracks headphone, the sound of it, look of it, and wanted to use it as a creative canvas. Like most art, it wasn't designed for everyone. But for the deadmau5 fan and certainly for Joel Zimmerman, it's a strong expression of sound and personal style, which is why we love it." This particular pair of headphones is said to be part illustration, part computer "controlled randomization" thanks to Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5 as well as renowned digital artist Joshua Davis, who is more often than not a frequent collaborator of deadmau5. Their synergy in this particular partnership helped them create a digital interpretation of the world around deadmau5 which Joshua described as a "beautiful accident". The Tracks HDs are capable of handling the full range of dynamics and powerful bass of deadmau5 music, while offering a fun, energetic visual design in the process. It will also come with v10 Sound Engines to deliver deeper bass, higher clarity and crisp vocals. Apart from that, it will be accompanied by the virtually indestructible FlexTech headband. Those who are interested can pick this puppy up for $149.99 a pop. [ Sol Republic deadmau5 headphones copyright by Coolest Gadgets ] |
