Do you really want to fit all of that in your pockets? Whether touring the world or just running errands there is usually demand to take a few items along. More and more of those items are electrical gear too. The feeling of filling up your jacket or pants pockets is no fun. "Keep the keys in a separate pocket than the phone. Posted: 10 Aug 2012 06:30 AM PDT If you are one who loves to be different, then surely it would reflect in your sense of fashion, not to mention decorative taste back home in terms of furniture and household accessories. Well, the bathroom is slightly trickier to furnish, although to come up with a tastefully done design is not too difficult. Here is something that you might want to consider if you love to stand out from the rest of the mundane crowd – the Off The Hook Shower Head. Yes, the name of this household accessory itself gives the game away. With the Off The Hook Shower Head, it looks like a standard issue house phone receiver, except that on one end of it lies a universal shower fitting instead of that tangled cord which land lines are famous for. You can start to carry out imaginary conversations with yourself, and perhaps practice venting your frustrations on your boss by speaking, nay, screaming into it – while the tap is turned off, of course. We would not want the police to come breaking down on your bathroom door just because you drowned yourself by accident, do we? [ Off The Hook Shower Head copyright by Coolest Gadgets ] |

Samsung Galaxy S3 Voice over LTE smartphone prepared Posted: 10 Aug 2012 05:30 AM PDT
Samsung is said to be supporting VoLTE with the Galaxy S3 LTE model in Korea sometime from this month onwards, and this will be followed up by the availability of this particular smartphone across global LTE markets, making sure that Samsung will remain at the forefront of the LTE market as well as mobile communications technology. Good luck to them, and I do hope that this venture will be able to take off, as Samsung already has plenty on their hands at the moment, especially with the high profile court case against Apple that is happening in the US right now. For the uninitiated, just what is VoLTE? Well, VoLTE basically relies on an IP packet-based service for both voice and data, which will pave the way for new multimedia services to be introduced, including the ability to convert from voice call to video call. Not only that, with VoLTE, it also delivers more than double the voice frequency of 3G and HD-level audio codec (AMR-WB), which in turn translates to delivering high quality voice calls that can be compared to having a direct conversation with someone in person – I suppose this is one claim that I will need to hear it to believe it, how about you? It is said that the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE smartphones can receive an upgrade to support VoLTE services through a software update, all without having to go through the hassle of adding in more communication chips. Posted: 10 Aug 2012 05:14 AM PDT Typical misting fans are great indoors. Assuming you are OK with damp carpets and furniture. They may feel good at the time they blow on you. But is it worth a wet room? Somewhere between scathing summer heat and a soggy sofa is the solution, the Evaporative Mist Indoor Fan. This is no ordinary misting fan though. The vibrations aren't from a rotating blade, but rather ultrasonic vibrations – sound waves that operate higher than we can hear. That creates microdroplets from the 1.5L water tank. Those droplets create a cooling mist which evaporates before it hits anything. The fan also rotates 360° to target the place you want cooled, and with a full tank, will mist for 9 hours. Done with mist? No problem, turn off the mist and use it as a fan. For $179.95 make mist your friend during the hot summer days and nights. [ A Nice Cool Mist copyright by Coolest Gadgets ] |
Nikon Coolpix L610 compact digital camera Posted: 10 Aug 2012 05:00 AM PDT The world of compact digital cameras is an extensive one – you can say that this is the bread and butter for most camera and digital imaging companies, especially when you consider that most folks’ disposable incomes do not allow them to afford a high end DSLR, but rather to start off with a standard issue compact digital camera makes far more sense when it comes to your hard earned dollars and cents. Well, the latest entry level shooter from Nikon comes in the form of the Nikon Coolpix L610, where it is a high zoom-ratio model that will be equipped with a 14x optical zoom lens covering the 25- to 350-mm range of focal lengths and offering simple operation to get you started right out of the box. For more details on the Nikon Coolpix L610, read on in the extended post. The Nikon Coolpix L610 is no doubt the latest model in the L-series lineup, where it will boast of a wide range of features and functions which enable users to capture the intended shots without going through complex operations. The image sensor itself has been incorporated into the Coolpix L610, being a backside illumination CMOS sensor that boasts of an effective pixel count of 16-million pixels, achieving superior image quality even when you are shooting at high ISO sensitivities. Not only that, the Nikon Coolpix L610 will also be accompanied by lens-shift vibration reduction (VR), Target Finding AF, where all it requires for the photographer is to point the camera in the direction of the intended subject, and you will see the camera automatically identify and focus on that particular subject, lending support to record Full HD movies with excellent picture quality as well if the need arises. You can choose from black, red and silver colors, and with an Easy auto mode that delivers half a dozen scenes (Portrait, Landscape, Night Portrait, Night Landscape, Close-up, Backlighting) to choose from, you will find yourself shooting some great looking photos right from the get go! Good to know it runs off a couple of AA batteries which are readily available in all countries you travel to, so there is no need to worry about not having the right power adapter when you go traveling.
