CueLight Interactive Pool Table System – Takes your Game High Tech

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 08:59 AM PDT

Billiards, a game that has probably been around since the late 1500′s. Originally thought to have been brought to the U.S. by way of the Spaniards, it now appears more likely that its beginnings were of Dutch and English settlers bringing it over. The game is played on a table with a cue… and it has been, for a really long time.

Usually bringing to mind cherry paneled walls and brass bar rails, forget everything you used to know about your low tech billiards tables because the CueLight Interactive Pool Table System lets you transform any pool table into an interactive, multi-touch video experience. HD imagery actually responds to a players every shot, providing an immersive, almost surreal pool playing experience.

CueLight lets you add flames or rippling effects to your felt, even allowing hidden images to be revealed as your ball glides across the surface. The system uses high brightness overhead projectors and a simple handheld device that lets users control all of the tables special effects. So if your ordinary game of pool has gotten a little boring, this may be an option for you. You can get a CueLight system with or without a pool table. Check out the obsuradigital.com website for purchasing information and watch a video of the table in action HERE.

Sticky Note Wristwatch – a Note to Self

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 07:44 AM PDT

I have a lot of things to remember. I am constantly trying to file my bills properly by due date and write other stuff down on a calendar so that I don’t forget. Lately, I have turned to Post-It notes in order to remind me of the more important things, so now they are stuck all over my house, on my computer, my fridge and my bathroom mirror, problem is… the minute I leave the house… they don’t help me anymore.

Luckily, I found the Sticky Note Wrist Watch, made from yellow paper and adhesive similar to your more common Post-It note cube, these sticky little wristwatch silhouettes are ready to hold your most pertinent information and serves as the proverbial string around your finger when it comes time to remind you of just what it is that you need to get done.

Simply scribble your notes on the pad and place it around your wrist, never again will you forget to pick up milk, or mail that letter. Between the little yellow bangle, and people asking “what the heck is that on your wrist?” you will have a constant reminder of whatever you needed to know. The Sticky Note Wristwatch is also bound to be useful on college campuses everywhere, helping students “remember” test answers or telephone numbers.

You can get a single 100 page pad at amazon.com for around 13 bucks, and yes, it does seem rather expensive for a note pad, but how do you put a price on efficiency? The only thing that concerns me now is how I’m going to remember to get one.

Penclic Mouse arrives with a sleek design

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 06:30 AM PDT

There is a saying – if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. Having said that, why reinvent the wheel? The humble computer mouse, while it has had its fair share of innovation over the years, has not exactly experienced a radical change. Perhaps, not until today, with the introduction of the Penclic Mouse. The Penclic Mouse is said to be faster and better than before, complete with a sleek design, and it intends to take the computer mouse to a higher level. I guess others have tried to do this before, but they never really stumbled upon a winning formula. Perhaps the Penclic Mouse might be able to break that cycle among hardware manufacturers?

The Penclic Mouse basically allows the extension of one’s body movements to be part of the hardware, where it will harness the natural power and dexterity in one’s fingers and hands. This results in a healthy and natural working position, so that you need not end up with a hunch. After all, endless clicking and unnecessary cursor movements should eventually be a thing of the past, where you are able to rely on the streamlined and efficient Penclic Mouse.

The Penclic Mouse comes with an innovative pen grip which counteracts the health problems that are common, including Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), which more or less comes from using a traditional computer mouse. Basically, the Penclic Mouse can be used by folks from all walks of life as well as professions, and even when you are at home.

It is said that the Penclic Mouse looks, feels and moves like a pen. Sporting a smooth pen-grip that delivers a cursor-like experience unlike any other. The Penclic Mouse is said to be extremely responsive and intuitive, that some folks think that it feels as though the mouse itself is capable of predicting just where you are about to move the cursor, as though it were psychic by itself.

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 06:00 AM PDT

Here we are with yet another smartphone device from South Korean manufacturer Samsung, and we are talking about the expansion of their Galaxy range in the form of the Samsung GALAXY Chat. The name itself makes plenty of sense though – it was specially designed for socially-active users, and the Samsung Galaxy Chat is said to enable users to hook folks up with the rest of their family and friends in a jiffy. There is no word on pricing just yet, but it is said that the Samsung Galaxy Chat will arrive on the soil of Euro 2012 winners first, Spain, in July, followed by a rollout in Europe, Latin America, Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia. Chances are this will be a low-end or mid-range smartphone at best.

Touted to come in a sleek and compact form factor, the Samsung Galaxy Chat will run on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but do not expect it to have the Jelly Bean update anytime soon. Other hardware specifications include a 3″ touchscreen display complete with a full QWERTY keypad for you to send out those text messages, emails and Facebook status updates in a jiffy.

The Samsung Galaxy Chat ensures that your social life will remain fun and easy to manage. It will come with its own dedicated launch key on the handset, accompanied by Samsung's ChatON communication service that will hook you up with users of ChatON on other platforms. This is more or less Samsung’s version of WhatsApp, where it offers spontaneous group chatting and messaging, never mind if it is text, animations or images that you intend to share. Email is a snap to handle and manage, courtesy of its predictive search capabilities, where there is also a more visual action bar that delivers seamless navigation. in addition to the ability to nest mail folders.

If you love mobile gaming, then the Samsung Galaxy Chat should also be your cup of tea, where it comes preloaded with Game Hub, which is pre-packed with the most popular social games for endless hours of entertainment, at least this is what Samsung claims. Any takers?

Turntable Metal Wristwatch

Posted: 05 Jul 2012 05:00 AM PDT

Want to tell the time in a cool and classic way? This is where the $79.99 Turntable Metal Wristwatch comes in handy – it makes for an ideal gift for those who are part of the old school audio thought, where they accurately captured the art of the DJ, in addition to the fandom of the audiophile – right down to the most minute of details. I guess technology is somewhat like the world of fashion, where old school ends up stylish from time to time, just like how flares come and go in the world of fashion.

The Turntable Metal Wristwatch more or less manages to capture the once interesting era of vinyl records, and this is achieved by introducing a turntable on your wrist. Well, small things are always cute, and tiny vinyl record is always ideal to keep old school designs in vogue. Of course, it is not going to play on your watch. It is water resistant up to 3 ATM though.
