Zombie Max Ammo – Kill Them for the Last Time

Posted: 14 Jun 2012 02:58 PM PDT

I really don’t know what’s going on these days, I love a good horror story as much as the next gal, okay, maybe even more… but when we have real people eating peoples faces off and college roommates consuming major organs, it may be time to start preparing for the apocalypse. We already have our standby silver bullets for werewolves, wooden stakes and garlic for pesky vampire infestations, but when it comes to zombies, we are pretty much on a scream and run fast plan…

Welcome Zombie Max Ammunition, designed specifically with grand scale zombie attacks in mind, the largest independent producer of bullets in the world, wants to make sure you have everything you need, when confronted with the flesh eating undead. Specially packaged, with specific directions, you and your loved ones will have to run no more. This time, make certain that the dead stay that way. Sure, everyone thinks they can outrun a zombie, but it never works out that well, now does it?

The manufacturer is very quick to point out specifically that Hornady Zombie Max ammunition is NOT a toy (IT IS LIVE AMMUNITION), and is intended only to be used on…ZOMBIES, also known as the living dead, undead, etc. No human being, plant, animal, vegetable or mineral should ever be shot with Hornady Zombie Max ammunition.

Zombie Max ammunition is available in a wide variety of zombie stopping calibers to suit your complete end of the world arsenal, including 380 auto, 9 mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, .223 Rem., 7.62×39 mm, .308 Win. and the ever popular zombie dropper, 12-gauge 00 buckshot.

With prices starting at under 20 bucks, I say it is much better to have and not need, then to need and not have…. are you with me? Check out the website at hornady.com for videos and purchase information. Don’t bother to run, just stay at home with Zombie Max.

Angry Birds Lawn Game

Posted: 14 Jun 2012 06:30 AM PDT

Just when you think that the Angry Birds franchise from Rovio could not expand its market any more into other areas, think again. Summer looks set to be upon us for those of us living in the northern hemisphere, so how about making sure you have the right kind of tools or toys to greet this particular season? This is where the $29.99 Angry Birds Lawn Game comes in handy, where you and your kids will be able to enjoy a little bit of sunshine instead of being cooped up all day long at home, not to mention to pop some green pigs in the process.

Basically, the Angry Birds Lawn Game will let you launch the birds in order to knock down the green pig, as a choice to gain stars in the process. Each purchase comes with a red bird, a yellow bird, a scoring mat that measures 1 meter across, a trio of wooden blocks, a quartet of plastic tees, a star score pad, and a rule card. Something that does not have a touchscreen display, and yet it will help bring together a bond among the family members unlike ever before.

Toyota Camatte concept is one just for the kids

Posted: 14 Jun 2012 05:30 AM PDT

Yes, we all know that the legal driving age is different in various countries, but that does not mean that governments just thrust the responsibility of being behind the wheel to someone whom they think is too young, right? The latest Toyota concept vehicle that you see here? It debuts at the International Tokyo Toy Show, where it is known as the Camatte concept. What resembles a new subcompact car is not a vehicle for adults – or the average commuter, but rather, this is a working car that was specially designed for kids.

Sure, it is not going to get your little Ben 10 wannabe all the Barbies in town to hop in since this is no pint-sized Ferrari, but at the very least, the Camatte concept elevates the idea of a kids’ car above and beyond the Power Wheels which some of us folks have enjoyed while we were kids. The Camatte concept comes with a more realistic interior complete with its very own instrument cluster, adjustable seats, gas pedal, steering wheel and brakes. There is no word of an engine by Toyota, but the concept is said to be similar to an actual car.

According to Toyota, the idea of manufacturing the Camatte is to “convey the joy and dreams of motor vehicles to current and future drivers.” Apart from that, there is also the issue of a family bonding element, where the Camatte comes with a three-seat, 1+2 layout which allows the little one to literally take take control of the wheel, at the same time interacting with his or her parents in the back. The panels of the Cammate can be removed, enabling your child to learn the ropes in making choices for him or herself, customizing the look of the cars.

Toyota also mentioned that both kids and families are also able to directly handle vehicle components in order to know just how cars work. Sounds like a decent conceptual product from Toyota, although you can be quite sure that this is not going to be a cheap purchase for any household.

AVG Family Safety – Are your Kids Safe with your Smartphone?

Posted: 14 Jun 2012 05:22 AM PDT

I have a million different ways that I try to keep my kid safe while she’s on the Internet, of course we all know that the most fool proof way is to simply make sure I’m around when she’s online, I thought I was on top of things until she grabbed my iPhone to search for “high top sneakers”, I don’t know what kind of typo produced her search results, but lets just say I spent a lot of time explaining some stuff that I’m not quite sure I was ready for yet!

Well, AVG now provides users of iPhones, iPads and Windows Phone devices protection for the whole family with the new AVG Family Safety browser. The AVG Family Safety app is a free, secure, family-friendly mobile Web Browser, which helps protect your children from inappropriate websites and, at the same time, protects the rest of your family from scam, fraud, phishing and potentially malicious online content.

If parents also link the app to an AVG Family Safety account, then a web interface will let them  manage enhanced filtering options and even customize a list of allowed and/or blocked sites across their PCs and mobile devices. Parents can monitor the online activity of  different users and block social networking and other sites per individual login for each kid.

All versions are available for free at the Windows Phone Marketplace or the  App Store or simply from the AVG website at www.avg.com.  AVG Family Safety Accounts are less than 20 bucks a year. Minimum requirements are a device running Windows Phone 7.5 or an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 4.3 or better. Do you ever worry when your kids grab your Smartphone or iDevice?
