This is Joey Ruiter, and if you see him on the road with this Moto Undone, you might think he was Superman. That is, if Superman decided to fly in a sitting position low to the ground instead of a lying down position high in the air.

Look again and see a motorcycle that is made of mirrored metal. Granted, it looks quite uncomfortable to sit on, but I would like to think of it as Superman and Batman combining their transportation systems.

The Moto Undone is powered by a 48 Volt, 1000 Watt electric hub motor, just in case you were looking for a place to stick a gas hose. In case you are also looking for a gauge, all the speed and GPS information is displayed via smartphone.

The Moto Undone has a range of 90 miles for about 3 hours, but it is not for sale. In fact, it is on display at the Gran Rapids Art Museum. I suppose it could have the placard of “invisible motorbike”.

Yes, this is a motorcyle that can barely be seen, and it also can be barely heard with its electric motor. So it looks cool and is good for the environment. Too bad that there is only one, as we should definitely change that.

If you intend to brave the madness of “Black Friday”, then you might want to consider trying to snatch Pioneer’s BDP-140.

This 3D-Compatible Streaming Blu-ray Disc Player is an “epicenter of both audio and video content”, and promises “unrivaled” picture and audio quality at 1080p resolution. I recently had a chance to try it out for myself, and I will have to say that it turned my ordinary flatscreen into something quite extraordinary.

It is definitely good for those who want the 3D content, and proof that the 3D fad is still going on, albeit slowly. The BDP-140 is also built for the streaming resolution as it works with YouTube, Netflix, Pandora, and Picasa online services.

Another terrific feature is that Pioneer offers users a free app known as iControlAV2 that serves as a fully functioning remote control for the BDP-140. This app is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and select Android devices, and works when the player is connected via Ethernet to a wireless router.

You should be able to purchase the Pioneer BDP-140 Blu-ray Disc Player on the Pioneer site now for a price of $299.99. I found it on Amazon for about $100 cheaper. While you are on Amazon, you might want to get yourself a stack of Blu-rays to go along with it.

There is a company called iSafe which makes backpacks and laptop messenger bags with built-in alarms. They have now created a Waist Pack that does the same thing.

The iSafe Waist Pack is a fanny pack that weighs one pound when empty, and that includes the pack with an alarm and batteries. It has a wire that connects to a port, and if this wire is removed, there will be a loud alarm.

How loud is it? Let’s just put it this way: I was recently shipped an iSafe, and when I opened it, my daughter made the mistake of removing this trip-wire. The alarm was so loud, that it hurt my ears to be close to it.

I suppose if you are injured or mugged, that alarm will be enough to bring people running to help you. This is assuming that people don’t assume that someone else will take care of it. Considering how much I usually ignore car alarms, hopefully people will take notice of an iSafe alarm.

You should be able to get the iSafe Waist Pack on the official site for about $39.99. It comes in Black or Blue with Gray. If you want to take it on a plane, you had better use it in a real emergency, and expect a little more time with the TSA.

Just how much time do you spend gaming on your Android-powered device or your iPhone? If you took stock of the situation and realized that gaming takes up the largest chunk of your time on your smartphone instead of making phone calls, sending text messages and replying emails, then you might either want to consider getting a dedicated portable gaming device like the Nintendo 3DS or the upcoming PlayStation Vita, or to take things on your mobile device to the next level with a special edition version of the TankBot.

Desk Pets International Limited has just introduced this new special edition TankBot that cannot be found anywhere else apart from Brookstone stores. Having picked up Popular Science's Best of Toy Fair 2011 award, the TankBot will feature a trio of interactive modes that enables you to let it navigate through mazes, roam around freely, or be controlled by your Apple iOS or Android mobile device. When the words “special edition” are thrown into the mix, the TankBot is transformed into a little tank that has a battle mode, letting you “fire” imaginary shells via infrared between tanks.

Just how much are you expected to fork out for the special edition TankBot? We are looking at a $24.99 price point, and knowing that you will need at least a couple of these to have some mayhem and fun, then you would have to spend $50 at the very least – but of course, the more, the merrier. The interactive battle mode might soon be the conflict resolution method of choice among geeky colleagues, or someone could start a TankBot league to stave the beast of boredom away. Each defeated TankBot will be disabled (temporarily), designating the shooter as the winner. Now this is definitely a new take when it comes to remote controlled toys – just which smartphone will you use to play it?

I myself am still rather apprehensive when it comes to wearing a pair of contact lenses, as I still feel that there is something in there which I just need to remove. I guess it will take some time to get used to it compared to those who have worn contacts since time immemorial, but here is a cool idea – what if the contact lens of the future is injected with technology that we never would have thought existed? I’m talking about a pair of bionic contact lens that is capable of projecting emails before your very eyes.

Yes sir, the whole idea of this particular pair of contact lenses is to stream real-time information right to the front of your eyes, and initial tests in animal trials have proved successful according to the scientists behind the project. Imagine wearing your contact lens and reading floating texts as well as e-mails that fly into your inbox without missing a beat, or perhaps even augmenting your sight using computer-generated images just like in the movie Terminator.

So far, early tests point towards this device being safe and feasible – although I am quite sure that folks at the University of Washington in Seattle will still need to run a battery of further tests to make sure it is really good to go across a wide spectrum of users. Of course, one of the biggest headaches with this project would be to locate a decent power source – something that has yet to be discovered.

At the moment, this crude prototype device will work only if it remains within centimetres of the wireless battery from where it draws its power from, and the microcircuitry within is only enough for a single light-emitting diode (LED) – guess that isn’t good enough to play games on it just yet, far from it in fact. I can’t wait to see further advancements made in this area, and who knows, it might just elevate video gaming to a totally different level.

Appmates Cars 2 Lightning McQueen

I am quite sure that most parents who have kids that have yet to hit puberty would know of the CG movie Cars that also spawned a sequel recently – and one of the main characters is Lightning McQueen, the red sports car that could. The Cars cow is definitely worth milking in terms of merchandise, and this is where the £12.99 Appmates Cars 2 Lightning McQueen comes in. You will need an iPad to get the game going on though, otherwise this iteration of Lightning McQueen is good enough as a piece of desktop decoration.

When you launch the free app on your iPad and place the Lightning McQueen model on the screen, you will be transported to a totally cool game, where moving the little red car all over the iPad’s surface will “drive” him around, where he will then interact with objects, pick up bonus items, and can even race against his opponents. Not only that, genuine sound effects and voices from the Cars movies will add to the realism factor. An early Christmas for Junior, perhaps?
