We have reported on a lot of interesting Power Loader suits before, you know, like the type that were used in Aliens. I still can’t figure out how they did that effect without computer generated effects.

I believe that the reason for creating exo-suits is so that you can lift really heavy objects, but the Skeletonics exoskeleton just seems to be made so you can walk around in an exo-suit. I mean, who wouldn’t want that?

I definitely think that as far as speed goes, this Skeletonics exoskeleton is for you. You can watch the video after the jump if you want to see a man-robot run. Man, I hope he doesn’t trip.

This Skeletonics exoskeleton is also good if you want to flick an empty soda can. There seems to be this option of launching some sort of rocket as well. Clearly, this man was inspired by Aliens, because I remember the Power Loader had a weapon. Actually, it was a blowtorch, and I couldn’t figure out why a Power Loader would have a blowtorch on it.

Well, I see another difference between this apparatus and the Power Loader from Aliens, this one is white. Maybe this is how they did that effect in Aliens 25 years ago.

What you are seeing here is the Konect USB watch, and it appears to be designed for our post watch era. Seriously, I haven’t used a watch since I got my cellular phone, and I’m guessing that I am not alone.

The Konect comes with a slot for a USB drive, and it does more than just keep it safe. The user will be able to access any tunes that are on the USB. Something tells me that you might want to get some USB 3.0 action in on this.

You will notice that I did say this was a watch, so where is the clock? Actually, it is one of those clocks that you’ll probably have to take a while to learn how to read. Seriously, how do you read this? It looks like just a blue and white circle to me.

The Konect USB watch hooks up with a Bluetooth headset, so it can hook up with a phone. However, I can’t seem to understand why you would hook up a Bluetooth headset to this thing if it is already hooked up to your phone. I guess you could listen to the music from the thumb drive.

As I have said before, it is a concept, but that is just for now.

I can honestly say that I am not a big fan of Facebook, but I know several who apparently need it to survive everyday life.

These are the people who clearly need the SNAK. This is an acronym for the Social Network Access Keyboard, and it puts 19 Facebook hotkeys for the Facebook subscriber.

So, if you’re doing a status update, just click the right button, and I imagine that Like and Dislike buttons just have to be there too. Just imagine how much time this will save for the real Facebook addict!

You will note that this picture only shows one side of a PC or laptop keyboard, but the SNAK is actually designed so it is on both left and right sides of the keyboard. Hopefully, it will still be easy for the ordinary Facebooker to use, but I hope there will be some way to make some of these buttons custom.

I wonder if there are any plans, or if the SNAK keyboard can do Twitter as well. I wonder if it can also do MySpace, or does anyone really care about MySpace anymore? Well, too bad they didn’t dress it up like the Optimus Maximus, but that would raise the price significantly. As it is, you should be able to get this for about $30.

NEC has new PA Series projectors that target installation projects

NEC’s range of projectors are impressive to say the least, and their latest PA Series comprises of the PA600X, PA550W, PA500U and PA500X. Targeting installation projects, this new series of advanced professional projectors is perfect in corporate conference rooms and large classrooms, taking to those kind of spaces and venues like a fish to water.

These are advanced models which are capable of providing the most connectivity and control options of any NEC multimedia projectors, ranging from their DisplayPort input to their integrated networking capabilities. Of course, what is the whole point of rolling out a whole new series of projectors if they are not going to have any improvements over its predecessors? That’s what we’re going to look at in the extended post.

Among the abundance of new features that have been included in the PA Series include the center lens design of these four new models which makes retrofitting existing installations easier and more cost effective. Of course, the new chassis does its bit as well by offering enhanced connectivity with HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, delivering a greater level of flexibility during use.

Making its debut among NEC's projector lineup would be the Crestron Roomview, where it lets users directly connect their projector to the managed network for monitoring and control purposes. Thanks to a brightness level ranging from 5000 to 6000 lumens, the ability to project in three different native resolutions, the PA Series is more than able to complement to any large room requiring demanding AV support.

They are also pretty easy to maintain, thanks to 4000 hours of lamp and filter life, ensuring that your total cost of ownership is lowered while enjoying a lengthy lifecycle with your purchase. One more interesting point of note – these four new models can be stacked vertically or horizontally to boost the image brightness up to 24,000 lumens – now how about that?

The PA600X, PA550W, PA500U and PA500X projectors will all come with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty, where they will retail for $3,999, $3,399, $5,499 and $3,199, respectively.

JVC first off the blocks with 3D video recording camcorder

3D is the big buzzword these days – heck, we have even heard of the Wimbledon 2011 finals being broadcasted in live 3D to select countries, although we would like to see future sporting events like the UEFA Champions League or even the London Olympics next year get the 3D treatment if companies want to go the length and breadth of promoting such technology into your home TV.

Well, forget about all the other companies and let us concentrate on what JVC has to offer us – we’re talking about the new JVC GS-TD1 that is touted to deliver 3D video recording in Full High Definition, thanks to a couple of camera lenses and an equal number of imaging sensors – one for each lens – in order to capture three-dimensional images in the same way that human eyes work. The results can be said to be more or less stunning.

Of course, it goes without saying that any video shot using the GS-TD1 can only be viewed in 3D – although the plus point that you have here is this, you are not limited to any kind of JVC ecosystem since you can use just about any 3D-capable TV to watch those precious memories recorded in 3D. Not only that, the camcorder can also shoot 3D video which can be burned to a Blu-ray disc or DVD-R for 3D playback on a compatible Blu-ray player.

As mentioned earlier, the JVC GS-TD1 will come with a couple of 3.32 megapixel CMOS sensors and a new JVC-developed high-speed imaging engine which is capable of processing both Full HD images – left and right images at 1920 x 1080i resolution. With a trio of shooting modes on offer, this lets you choose from several options for HD resolution and archiving of 3D footage.

Other hardware specifications include 64GB of built-in flash memory, an SDXC card slot, 3D optical 5x zoom, Optical Axis Automatic Stabilization System for disparity control to give depth to 3D images, and Automatic Parallax Adjustment to optimize the 3D-video comfort zone. Just to keep up with today’s trends of touchscreen sensitivity, it also comes with a 3.5" 3D touch panel LCD monitor which displays 3D images without the need for 3D glasses – hmmm, sounds like some Nintendo 3DS action going on here.

How much to pay for bragging rights? The JVC GZ-TD1 Full HD 3D camcorder can be yours for a whopping $1,699.95.

Sony announces spanking new VAIO S Series laptop

Sony’s range of VAIO laptops are further expanded with yet another model – this time around through the VAIO S which will cater for folks who want more power in their everyday, portable computing. It might be a laptop, but don’t be fooled by it’s size – similar to how we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
