Ballistic to debut Ballistic LS durable case Posted: 25 Dec 2010 02:15 PM PST
The Ballistic LS looks set to be the next big thing when it comes to the durable case market, as it is constructed out of strong TPU material and silicone Ballistic Corners. The case itself delivers the best of both worlds with its ultra-sleek profile that results in minimal bulk albeit delivering maximum protection in the process. What makes this different from what its competitors offer would be interchangeable corner bumpers that have different thickness options. This paves the way for the ultimate customization of shock absorption preference. Of course, you can always pick up additional corner bumpers of varying thicknesses and colors separately. If you’re heading over to Las Vegas in the first week of January for CES 2011, then make sure you make a beeline for Ballistic’s booth as they will be showcasing the Ballistic LS there, the latest iPhone 4 case, at the Ballistic Suite in The Wynn Hotel. Now that’s surely a luxurious address to launch a device, and why not? After all, the iPhone 4 is a thing of beauty, so it makes perfect sense to see a case for it launched at an equally beautiful location. No word on pricing just yet, but you might just want to consider going on that rough and tumble outdoor trip after kitting out your iPhone 4 with the Ballistic LS. Sony debuts Music Unlimited service Posted: 25 Dec 2010 02:00 PM PST When it comes to purchasing music online, what are some of the “brand” names that most people think of? iTunes would be first and foremost be on peoples’ minds, no doubt about it. Well, apart from that, folks still purchase albums from Amazon, but no doubt about it that iTunes is the undisputed king of the hill at the moment. Sony might just want to tip the balance of power in their favor with the launch of “Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity™,” which is a new, cloud-based, digital music service that offers music lovers access at any time to millions of songs from major labels such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and EMI Music. Independent labels are not forgotten either, so you can probably indulge in a range of eclectic music if you wish. The “Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity” catalogue will initially offer around half a dozen million songs, and this will not just stop there as it will continue to expand over time. With this service, you are able to play music any time on a wide variety of Internet-connected Sony devices, where among them include Sony’s 2010 models of network-enabled BRAVIA TV, Blu-ray Disc player, Blu-ray Disc Home Theater system, PlayStation 3, VAIO and other personal computers. In due time, it will also be available across a wide range of Sony’s portable devices, playing nice with Android-powered mobile devices and other portable devices too. “Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity” will at first be available in the U.K. and Ireland, while this service will expand to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, New Zealand and US sometime next year. As for its packages, they aren’t too expensive either. Basic will cost pounds Sterling 3.99 in the U.K. and 3.99 Euros in Ireland) while Premium is pounds 9.99 in the U.K. and 9.99 Euros in Ireland for their respective monthly subscription plans.
