Warsaw Subway designed by BMW

Posted: 30 Nov 2010 04:34 PM PST

Well, we all know that BMW designs some high-end luxury vehicles, so why not have them design a Subway car?

This is the Inspiro. Seriously, that is what it is called. It is designed by DesignworksUSA to hit Polish tracks in Warsaw sometime in 2012.

You may notice its modern look, and it looks as advanced on the inside as it looks on the inside. It has a bigger interior than it looks, and it shows a lot of maps and other information for riders.

Of course, if you want to make a vehicle today, then it has to be green, right? Fortunately, the lightweight chassis is made from aluminum that can cut down on energy consumption, and the body of the train itself are 97.5 percent recyclable.

Just to let you know, I have no idea what the transportation is like in Poland. I think we all want an effective form of mass-transit, and this train certainly looks quite good. You will note how the bars branch out in the center pole.

I’m also not certain how fast this things goes. I know those ones at the airport go really quick, and I’m sure the ones in New York go pretty fast to get around the city on time.

DreamBots Ltd. presents the WheeMe massaging robots

Posted: 30 Nov 2010 04:08 PM PST

So who says that you need human hands to give you a massage? Well, you do, actually.

However, if you are willing to try out an acceptable substitute to fleshy human hands touching your back, you might want to consider the WheeMe from DreamBots Ltd.

The WheeMe is clearly designed to look like one of those massage wheels that a human is supposed to push across your back. Now, the creators of this massage thing could have made a robot arm to manipulate this thing, but they have made this autonomous contraption.

When I say autonomous, I mean that it has a built-in sensor that will insure that it never falls off the user’s back. I’m guessing that it probably spends a lot of time on your spine.

In case you are wondering if this spiky wheel might be slightly uncomfortable on your back, then you should know that my Source says are made of “soft fingerettes that provide a delightful sense of bodily pleasure”.

You won’t be able to get the WheeMe now, but it should be on display at CES 2011. I just learned that I am going to be attending this year, but I don’t really want to take my shirt off to try it out.

Cowon gives glasses-free 3D to a PMP

Posted: 30 Nov 2010 03:38 PM PST

We all know that Sharp is releasing two phones that can do 3D without glasses with the 003SH and 005SH mobile phones, and Nintendo gets the 3DS.

Glasses-free 3D technology is going to get another improvement as Cowon is going to make a Portable Media Player (PWP) with a 4.3 inch glasses-free 3D screen with 800 x 480 resolution.

This PMP, which is currently called the Cowon 3D, will have the ability to do 1080p high definition video, not to mention other PMP features like reading ebooks, web browsing, photo viewing, and listening to music.

The battery on this thing is good for about 10 hours of mobile use. I can’t help but wonder if what we are seeing is the home or menu screen to this PMP.

The one thing that we don’t know, and my Source asks as well, is if this can convert 2D into 3D. I really don’t know how much 3D can really happen from 2D. I’m sure that advancements in 2D to 3D are occurring everyday, but I don’t think we are “there” just yet.

I believe that the Cowon 3D will be out in December, but I’m not certain where. The price of this will be $430 for the 32GB model and $510 for the 64GB brand.

Hü – What color is the sky in your world?

Posted: 30 Nov 2010 02:35 PM PST

I love my TV, in fact, it would be safe to say I couldn't live without it. Well, I could, but I would be miserable. There have been huge changes in the TV market, flat screen, LCD, plasma, LED and now 3D. There is however, one thing that hasn't changed much, and thats the color. Black, silver, maybe a little white or a combination thereof. A television never made much of a decorator statement, it usually just sat there looking out of place.

That is until now, it's been around for a little while, but you probably missed it, Hü is a custom electronics colorizing service that will allow you to match your TV, speakers and mounting brackets to any color you choose. You will not be limited to the colors you can pick from, they will match your new stuff to any color chip you send them.

Match your TV to your wall, your speakers to the sofa. Go all out and treat your daughter to the cotton candy pink flatscreen she always dreamed of, or treat yourself to the 55" LCD in the color of your favorite sports team.

All you have to do is purchase any TV, mount or select speakers from www.home-technology-store.com and then add on the additional Hü Coloring Service. Prices starting at $159.00

4th Amendment Wear – Because everyone loves passive – aggressive protests

Posted: 30 Nov 2010 12:04 PM PST

If you've gone anywhere by plane recently you will no doubt have passed by the dreaded TSA body scanners. If you haven't been anywhere lately, I'm sure you are still very aware of all the controversy being caused by this invasion of privacy, designed to um, *cough* keep us all safe.

Well, you don't have to just stand there and take it anymore. A new line of silent protest undergarments are headed your way, allowing you to get your point across, without ever saying a word.

4th Amendment Wear, white undergarments printed with metallic type that shows up on TSA scanners quietly evokes the 4th Amendment. Surely you remember the 4th Amendment, don't you? It guards against unreasonable search and seizure. The amendment also requires that search warrants be supported by probable cause. Huh. Sounds like a great idea.

Anyway, the underwear, boxers, bras, panties, socks and t-shirts are either printed with the 4th Amendment or alternatively, gently suggest that the perverts scanning you should get themselves familiar with it. Available in small, medium, large and x-large, all starting at around $24.00 from  www.etsy.com

Hey, I'm willing to get naked to go to Hawaii, but I don't have to like it.
