Blossoming Garden Solar Light Posted: 18 Apr 2010 03:34 PM PDT There are a great deal of garden lights to choose from if you’re searching for something to add to your plants.  The Blossoming Garden Solar Light absorbs solar power like most outdoor lights, but it it uses up all of that power for more than the LED light.  This motorized flower blooms every single morning and closes up at night. There is a very small solar panel attached to the bottom of the stem.  The panels charge up the rechargeable batteries.  They then in turn power the LED light and flower petals that automatically open and close.  The stem itself is metal with a bright bronze finish and the whole thing stands 16 and ½ inches tall.  When you purchase the light you’ll get to choose between pink or white petals.  The unfortunate thing is that these are sold individually instead of in sets.  Which means you might want to choose these $34.95 lights for accents used sparingly. Wall Mountable Charging Station Posted: 18 Apr 2010 01:45 PM PDT Sometimes the best solution is the most simple one.  This charging station is probably the most plain one you’ll come across, but it hids the cords and it attaches to the wall.  All around it will easily simplify charging your smaller gadgets.  If you don’t want a charging station that draws attention to itself, then this one would be a great solution. The front of it offers easy access to the surge protector.  You just slide the front open and it reveals the insides to make it simple to plug in different chargers.  Unfortunately the surge protector isn’t actually included with your purchase.  When you go to purchase one you’ll be able to choose between the white shown here or black.  The charging station will cost $29.99.  Then you can throw in a 6 outlet surge protector for $12.99 from KangaRoom. Windup Robot USB Hub Posted: 18 Apr 2010 01:18 PM PDT The best kind of gadgets are the ones that give you something to play with while you’re supposed to be busy doing something else.  After all, we all have those moments when our brains get absolutely fried.  In those cases you really just need a toy to let your mind go absolutely blank for a while.  Thankfully there are things like this USB hub that have a real function, besides the fact that they’re a fun little robot toy. Just pop open their front and you’ll have 2 different ports to plug things into.  Then close him up and he turns into a brightly colored wind-up toy.  Just spin him up and he’ll give you plenty of amusement.  Of course this comes from a Japanese company, so it’s going to be a whole lot harder to get your hands on.  Then again, thankfully there are a whole lot of websites anymore that are dedicated to getting Japanese gadgets to the rest of the world, so maybe we’ll get lucky on this one.
