Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Back to School with Student Edition Bundle Posted: 18 Aug 2012 08:30 AM PDT So you are out looking for a new tablet device, but cannot really quite make up your mind? Well, you have basically two choices – one that hails from the fruity company known as Apple and runs on the iOS platform, making it the best selling tablet to date, while the other would be one that runs off the Android operating system from Google, and it comes in a myriad of form factors as well as manufacturers. Well, Samsung is back with yet another Android powered tablet, where it is known as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 that targets students, logically calling it the Student Edition Bundle. This special bundle would include a Keyboard Dock and an USB Adapter, without costing you any more money since it retails for $249.99 instead of the actual retail value of $349.99. This offer is good from tomorrow onwards, and will last for just a couple of weeks. The Special Edition that comes with a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 in a unique white color should be able to rack up those fingerprints quick and fast. Students will definitely find their fair share of benefits from the bundle, where it will include a physical keyboard that can be hooked up to the tablet itself, while the USB adapter is able to support plugging in USB thumb drives in addition to peripherals such USB mice. On the software front, you get Polaris Office pre-loaded, making the Galaxy Tab 2 the perfect device for typing research reports – or perhaps, even creating presentations, right there and then on the spot. I do wonder whether this will affect Microsoft’s plan for their Surface tablets that run on Windows 8 as well as Windows RT, depending on the type of processor for that particular Surface tablet. Travis Merrill, Director of Marketing, Galaxy Tab, Samsung Electronics America, said, "The education market is a significant priority for Samsung, and we are very pleased to deliver a bundle that is sure to be appealing to just about any student at a very competitive price point. A busy student can achieve a PC-like setup in the dorm room, yet still pop the Galaxy Tab 2 out of the dock and slip it into a pocket for usage while on the go. It truly is the smarter way to learn." Verbarius Clock – is it time for a new clock? Posted: 18 Aug 2012 08:02 AM PDT Most of the time (pun not intended), we tell the time through a clock or watch as I do not know anyone who uses a sundial these days, and these tend to veer towards the digital or analog timepieces. How about a different take this time around? I am referring to the £149.99 Verbarius Clock, which does away with hands or numbers – in fact, you will just need your ears to be able to tell the time, and it does not matter if you do not speak English, as German, Spanish, French and Russian languages also come pre-loaded with the Verbarius Clock. Not only that, other languages that can be downloaded include Belarusian, Dutch, Esperanto, Estonian, Finnish, German (Bern), Hungarian, Italian, Lettish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Slovenian, Swedish, Tatar, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Welsh. This particular timepiece comes with a tinted glass face and LCD display, showing off the time be using common phrases, allowing you to be punctual while getting your fair share of language practice. Posted: 18 Aug 2012 07:16 AM PDT Inevitably printing must happen. Though we certainly print less than we have in the past, need still exists for directions, news, shopping lists and the like. But in this fast moving age of mobile technology it becomes harder and harder to understand where things like printers fit in. How do we maintain our mobility while still using a printer? BERG Cloud has devised a method to enable printing specifically from mobile devices. More importantly it prints TO a mobile/portable device. Little Printers, revealed in late 2011, is now available to pre-order at just $259. This friendly gadget connects wirelessly to your home network. It is an inkless printer, using thermal printing. So yes, replacement paper is as simple (read: inexpensive) as cash register paper! Little Printers lives up to its name measuring just 3.3" x 5.07", easy to place anywhere or take with you. But Little Printer is much more than just your average printer. Rather than printing content that the web says we need to print – like advertisements or menu bars – BERG Cloud formats your content for Little Printers' specs. Once you download the app for your smartphone (iPhone, Android or Windows), select the content you wish to print. Berg Cloud configures your items, a.k.a. "subscriptions". You can then schedule subscriptions to print at a specific time or print on demand. BERG Cloud will fetch the information and have it printed and waiting for you on your schedule. And Little Printers smiling face even changes when new data arrives. So have your daily crossword puzzles waiting for you. Take the news synopsis wherever you go. Or print a list of Facebook posts. Your choice, BERG Cloud handles it. Hop on to bergcloud.com to get in on the latest innovation in not just printing, but customized content printing.
